Is the Ringing Deeps going to be a real underground zone like Moria in Lord of the Rings or will be an open space that we can fly in? I can’t find what it will look like. I hope it is not like Zaralek Caverns. That place did not feel like it was underground at all.
I think all we know is what was said at BlizzCon - that all the zones in TWW will be expansive enough to accommodate Dragon Riding, aka “dynamic flying”.
Oh ok I didn’t watch it. I read part of it was open but it wasn’t specific how much.
i expect the idea of giant zone-size cavern-dungeon maze gets floated from time to time in brainstorming, but once devs start thinking carefully about how players would actually end up engaging with it, the idea becomes less and less exciting.
They showed a rough map at Blizzcon to what the world map would look like for the War Within and 3 of the 4 zones are underground like Zaralek, but I think they’ll be more open similar to Deepholm just based on the pictures/videos we’ve seen.
