War Within Pre-Patch UI Feedback

The new UI is good. I would like the numbers instead of … to come back because the numbers helped disjointed quest locations way easier to identify. Another thing is we should not need to scroll all the way down on the quest to see the rewards. That is the only thing most people care about. I’m not a huge fan of the new spellbook location and size but I guess that I can get used to.

In-game options menu and spellbook are way too massive, and why did they change the location of the spellbook and interface options? Very unnecessary, and frankly annoying.

Yeah now the professions button is useless because everyone just moves their prof buttons on a hotbar and never opens it again.

It honestly feels like they’re scaled to what they would be if you set the UI scale to 150%. If they cut the default size of the spellbook, menu, and talent pane by like 1/3rd everything would probably look fine.

That should be the default.
What is wrong with them? Do they think the playerbase (mostly 30 something year olds) are having trouble seeing the screen? Its sooooooo annoying. Just revert the change and put it as an accessibility option, not the base default.

I’m giving a score:

Character listing style: F
Virtually no options to filter or sort. Having 50 characters lumped together and needing to manually sort them in some way to make them a tiny bit easier to track is ridiculous. Who though this was a good idea?

Size increases: E
Again, why make the spellbook huge, the Game Menu big, and have none of them moveable? What’s the good of an Edit Mode if you can’t adjust the size and location of things that intrusive and annoying?

Bugs: F
Action bars that keep disappering, formatting that keeps not applying on alts. What inspiration am I missing here?

It does not pass the Kneeshooter Approval Test.

More UI issues:

  • mob health bars have lost contrast for the targeted enemy: the filled part of the health bar is dark red, and the rest is also dark, so it is hard to see
  • map quest log icons: the numbers are gone, which should be reverted
  • quest icons on NPCs: these have lost contrast as well, sometimes it is hard to distinguish if the NPC has a ! or a ? over the head

If ever there was a time to look into an addon to replace the default UI, this would be the patch. Every change they’ve made has been a downgrade in quality.

I agree I’m not a fan of the new quest icons lol
But I’m not too proud to admit I may just not like change

I hate the targeted enemy health bars. I can barely make out how much health is missing. I might as well turn them off and just know that the enemy is dead when it falls over and stops moving. Has an addon been made to fix this issue yet?
