War within m+

This date needs to bemoved way up and not pushed back behind raid. M+ should be day 1 ready and up not a month out. Getting tired of blizzard ruining what makes the game fun. Personal loot and m+ shouldnt be messed with.

True, but technically he is right too, since it’s behind Normal/HC.

It is kind of crazy that the most played game mode is being delayed for the sake of the least played game mode

M0 fills that dungeon equivalent, which opens the same week as norm/heroic.

Its not as good as heroic gear or crests, sure. But its much more spammable and suits the purpose well enough for one single week.

They could have just made it like they did for the past 6 Years by just Locking the drops from M+ to that equivalent of Heroic in the First raid week, but well, it is what it is.

You don’t balance the game around the average player, simply because the average player is pretty darn bad at the game. And the reality is, and I say this as someone who love M+, that it is probably a good thing to push it back a bit.

One can argue if 4 weeks (no, not 1 month) is too long but I honestly don’t think it is. Folks can level characters in peace, then get going with Mythic dungeons and raid, and then season 1 starts. Seems like a perfectly decent launch roadmap.


Pretty sure one can skip out on Brewa going on an anti-M+ tirade but… it is a good thing for Mythic raiding that M+ is only available when Mythic raiders are able to get their gear. I’m sure he will demonize it regardless but, I fail to see how the launch roadmap Blizzard has setup is somehow bad or awful, just because they try to create a somewhat balanced gameplay experience for all types of players.

My assumption is that they want more time for tuning before opening M+ or mythic raid. They were still adding brand new affixes a few weeks before the expansion launches. Specs and dungeons need a lot of work yet before starting season 1.

In that case isn’t Mythic 0 open?

It is and it’s now a daily lockout, but then again a lot of people enjoy M+ way more then m0.

Is it the most played game mode? Sure more probably participate in M+ than Mythic raids but saying it’s the most played is probably hyperbole. I would wager more people have kills on LFR/Normal than have M+ clears.

Some of my guildies and I went on the beta on Tuesday and did the Dawnbreaker because it’s the Skyriding Dungeon. We wanted to see it because it will have the most questions at launch so we wanted to be able to answer some.

That dungeon is so broken. I’m an arcane mage. My orbs were going NOWHERE. They kept hitting invisible walls on the ground and on the Dawnbreaker (the ship) and were completely useless during any battles unless I was stacked in melee.

We also wiped on the second boss because we butt pulled. We wiped at about 70% HP and the NPC Arathi Guards took the boss down and killed it for us while we all watched while dead. This was a +2.

Curious to see how the other 7 TWW dungeons are.

Mythic raiders probably enjoy Mythic raids way more than normal or heroic.

Over 30M runs a season and you think theres more raiding in any regard possible? Come on Watson.

At the end of the day, M+ is the most played and popular gamemode. This is the equivalent of releasing Halo without Slayer, a MoBA without 5v5, or Mario Kart without online racing

Like I said compare every account with an M+ clear vs every account with at least an LFR clear and then you see which is actually more popular.

Absolutly, but Mythic has always been released last, besides the last 2(?) Season in DF.
