Given that myth track items are 13 ilvl above hero track, you can’t reasonably expect to gear an alt during a season.
Last season, I couldn’t even fully gear my main, let alone an alt. (Filled every vault with three myth track choices for mythic plus slots starting week one btw)
Myth track items should be returned to their state in DF - 6 ilvl above hero track.
This way, gearing is not entirely dependant on getting lottery-level luck and RNG in your great vault 14 weeks in a row.
Either this or give us unlimited puzzling cartel chips same as we had in dragonflight season 4.
Make it so that our character power progression isn’t solely based upon one chance at an item once a week
I had near max ilvl for seven alts in DF season 2, DF season 3 and season 4.
They all had a few myth track items with rest being hero track (which was perfectly acceptable since it was only six ilvl below)
Now you have to start farming myth track vaults week one and still may not gear your main.
What if your main gets nerfed and you need to switch toons mid-season? There is no chance you can do that with myth track being 13 ilvl above hero track. It’s just not possible.
I got two alts, one a fresh 80, fully decked in 629s because the 11.0 Reknown rewards are Warbound so I got a bazillion crests and just had it all crafted, and then just slammed my face against Delves and BGs.
They’re both nearly 640 ilvl, which is kinda nuts?
I don’t think it’s been as easy as it currently is to get alts to end game level. Sure they’re not likely going to get decked in full Myth but…they could? If I wanted to change my focus from Guuah to another character.
people think being able to level up to max in less than a day makes it “alt friendly” which is utterly untrue. the end game is the most alt unfriendly experience there has been in wow, and this is taking into account things like attunements.
Very high mythic keystones require myth track ilvl to survive (not necessarily to do the damage required.) but you do need the higher amount of stamina from 678 items in order to survive many mechanics in higher keystones.
Mythic raid doesn’t require myth track gear to clear - if echo can clear the mythic raid in mostly champion track tier, then everyone can’t
Mythic plus should drop myth track items, not the mythic raid.
DF was much more alt friendly than TWW. In DF I could play 4 or 5 characters in end game content. The same amount of effort in TWW would let me play maybe 2. TWW is great for alts if you only want to do heroic level stuff, but that’s not how a lot of people want to play alts. They want to play different playstyles in the same level of content as their main.
