Are they worth the time to do?
Not really. I do one or two if I have to get on the boat to go to the opposite island. But that’s about it
It’s where I get pet tokens so I can possibly get some new pets.
(I don’t pet battle)

Some are good to establish more Flightpaths in the opposing continent. Some are good eek out a little more rep for factions. It’s not much rep but might save you doing a few WQ if you’re rep farming.

It is a mobile mini game that is in-game.
Personally I only do them after I get my prewar-front resources. After that I just stop due to their lack of rewards.
Augment runes sell for 500g on my server. Missions provide up to 8 of them.
Azerite pops up, which is okay. Gold missions are almost worthless (thankfully) and pet charms are my go-to. Rep insignias will be useful to me again in 8.1 for paragons, so the table is generally useful but I wouldn’t be bothered if the system didn’t carry over to 9.0, honestly.
I mean, it’s fine, but it really doesn’t fulfill that “commander of heroes” fantasy we were told it would provide years back since it’s so watered down, but if you don’t water it down, it’s mandatory because of how beneficial it is.

I do the ones where I get pet tokens or credit towards an achievement. Oh, and Augment Runes. Need those.
Since I’m exalted with all BFA factions, I have no use for rep missions until 8.1. And the gold quests are practically worthless.

People spent the last 2 expansions complaining about mission boards, so they’ve been dialed back to the point you really don’t miss out by not using it.
I like that I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything if I decide to not use it for a week.
For me it isn’t. I need the resources for the bogus . . . . . i mean BONUS roll tokens.

They cost more to do than their reward and if you added champion equipment, you got suckered in a nasty gold sink system Bliz designed to punish players who had too much fun with Legion and WoD mission tables.

Sad how much that describes this expansion. Hell, that practically describes this expansion itself.

They’re ok for getting extra pet charms and rep tokens, the missions take too long for their rewards and the selection of rewards is underwhelming and kind of a disappointment though. i suppose they’re worth the 30seconds per day it takes to open them and throw a few missions out.
It is but it isn’t. I spend less time on the mobile doing the missions on 3 toons than it takes for one toon to fly from dazar’alor to port.
