There is a tier 3 essence tied behind looting 25 crates with the assassin buff so its a bit more then just for fun.

Having the same issue.
On my first time in Nazjatar and seeing a few supply crates drop I wouldn’t see it drop at all. However, I decided to save one of those super fast mounts and followed the drop as soon as it appeared. After following it for a bit it did eventually drop one with a parachute.
It’s an unintended bug that could be showing up on your screen but dropped it in Nazmir/Vol’dun/Zuldazar as for Nazjatar I’ve seen all of them so far but that could be since my view distance is maxed. That could also be the problem in your case is the view distance either bugging, not being maxed, or a different issue related to your client or the game.
My view distance is maxxed and I have followed the airship on its complete path. Given that several other people have mentioned the same results early in this thread, I continue to believe there’s an issue.
I didn’t say anything about Nazjatar and it’s possible that it’s working on Nazjatar.

Twice recently I followed the plane through Zanda, with no drop.
Based off of flight angles, unless this thing is dropping in KulTur and then flying over horde islands, then it is not dropping at times.

Saw two drop last night, looted one of the two.
I’ve yet to see one drop since 8.2. Reading it could be a bug or a visual bug that isn’t showing the drop but box is on the ground after awhile.
Going to keep looking but as of now zero luck.

Yeah i haven’t seen any drop in non Nazjatar areas since the patch. Followed plenty of planes, seen none drop and people in general asking where the crate dropped and not seeing anything.
Ive collected 2 in the last 2 days. Tirargarde and SSV. This is outside of assaults ofc. I also collected a secret supply in ssv during an assault yesterday.
This culd be it. Ive seen them on the ground only.
Is there also an internal CD on how often you can loot the crate? I looted one and then 10 min later another one dropped and I couldn’t loot it.

Wanted to come back to say Ive seen planes drop crates over the “old” bfa zones and ive seen them parachuting down. Last 3-4 days ive seen this in Nazmir, Zuldazar and KT.
The alliance pilots fly through the zone, look down and see hundreds of Horde and no Alliance so they don’t drop it. Makes sense to me.

Yet in Naz somehow two air drops happened a few yards from each other. One couldn’t be opened and the other was normal

I’ve seen that repeatedly in Zandalar as well following the plane from east coast all the way to west out of the zone.

I finally saw my first zandalar one drop this patch. It was another sword. I’m at 85% 2h sword drop rate right now.

A bit off the topic at hand but this post came as a result of my google search. Did Blizzard Remove War Supply Crates from Dragonflight and Shadowlands seeing as I can no longer see there map markers with my addons nore with the addon All the Things. I Only come across them now in well the Current Expansion The War Within and in Battle For Azeroth zones. I really hope I am just missing them and not fully locked out of looting them in these 2 expansions because I am not really interested in hunting them in BFA because they offer next to nothing as rewards.
