if i have not personally seen something before, i refuse to believe it is real
The only elf I even possess is a demon hunter, and I exclusively use fel-corrupted skins for those (I also haven’t played it since Legion, lol)
I’m not clutching any pearls here, we simply disagree. Why do you have to malign people for disagreeing?
Why is it so weird to you that I view a distinction between races that have the curse of flesh and elves? I thought everyone was well aware of these distinctions in the RP community?
We have a super exclusive forum tab
Dude. This is world of warcraft where the Elves are literally Eevees.
Well, purple-ebony is a real world skin color too, so…
I was there many months ago, but then I couldn’t stay interested because the drama was always fierce but dull, and that seemed to be all that was around.
Kind of like this but I’m currently intrigued.
so are the ones blood elves currently have
you’re right let’s give them all four
Lorewise, elves have a far more different backstory than humans compared to the other races getting these options.
Elves. Are. Not. Titan. Constructs.
Elves. Don’t. Have. The. Curse. Of. Flesh.
Humans, dwarves, gnomes, and forsaken are however all descended from titan constructs with the curse.
Blood elves are absolutely not more “human-adjacent” than the others, you’re simply disregarding the lore because they “look like white people” to you.
So… also? As well? Not instead of?
All skin that looks like people skin is valid?
solved with magic but you don’t like that
in Scrabber’s house we STAN Garithos
(wait until they hear about Vulcans in Star Trek…)
I feel that. Honestly, I set most of my scrolls to a slow crawl so the thread loads without extra effort. I save my posts for poignant/funny/introspective character posts, and try to throw out a lot of hearts when I can. Mine left because I followed my friends to ED, and apparently that counts as a completely new character even though the name is the same.
I’m mostly in this thread to use the engineering revive on the dead horse, but I’m afraid someone cast corpse explosion so now I just watch.
lorewise there’s a ton of reasons why they’re different from humans and black skinned elves literally changes none of that lore
the only thing keeping them seperate from humans physically is their ears and their eyebrows and standing just a little bit taller and that isn’t going away either!
Having white skin ALSO is something humans can have so literally NTOHING CHANGES
In my DnD campaign last month we got into a fight with a couple skeletal horses and my pun game just exploded.
in the end, there was a war against wra from ed.
one goblin vs the forum cabal.
we lost, guys. deathologyz put us into a perfect trap.
sure hope u got a good lore reason for that buddy…
rolls up my sleeves and readies my keyboard
I suppose all DnD campaigns should count themselves lucky I don’t play them.
I could have the edgiest character possible and still would drop puns like the guy in the meme trying to hold all the limes.
also, if you really want to play a race that feels not at all human then PLAY ONE OF THE MORE INHUMAN RACES LIKE ORCS, TROLLS DRAENEI OR TAUREN BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAVE OCEANS OF ELVES WALKING AROUND THE HORDE
ok banrok calm it with the caps lock
also rofl what is this stupid garbage about the curse of flesh being a more lore-compliant justification for dark skinned characters
It’s literally all magic or space aliens, one backstory is not more appropriate than another for dark skin, therefore it is all absolute balderdash, therefore it needs no lore justification and people should be able to play a brown skinned elf
because it harms nothing and needs no explanation
i think this was the quote on the back of the original 2004 World of Warcraft box because it’s all true
are titans aliens tho? the real questions we gotta ask
CAPS LOCK IS HOW I COPE WITH MY CRIPPLING SADNESS AT NO ONE WANTING TO BE AN ORC ANYMORE
this does not make me feel zug zug
