Can someone explain to me why Blizzard added war mode? I played all the way up to cata and then quit and came back to BFA and we have war mode.
it really makes 0 sense…
for one it’s annoying when you have people in a group and wanna summon and one person has it on and the other doesn’t. it also seems illogical to take abilities away from the class they use to have and put them in a war mode only talent.
it pretty much kills world pvp , did wow become care bear nation while i was gone? Because all the games ive ever played where open world pvp was a risk vs reward always made it more fun until they added something for the people who didn’t want any risk just reward.
It’s because some people felt forced into wpvp for playing with their guilds and friends. Warmode give you a choice when you want to do wpvp. Well that’s the logic of it. Now the way it’s done and pvp talents that’s another thing.
but that was part of the game and even if that is the case, why take talents you should have and always had and put them in a war mode only talent section.
example, Thorns and nourish i used all the time on a druid now i have to be in war mode only to get and it cant even be used in dungeons.
War Mode gives people the option to do pvp or not do pvp, whatever they want! Now, there is no need for pvp and non-pvp servers, so you can play with all of your friends no matter where they are.
xd Do you mean that as an argument or an affirmation. The game worked differently before. I feel having a choice is better.
But for sure pvp talents which were designed so they could balance classes with those but still do heavy abilities nerfs/balance for pvp xd. And the whole pruning issue with spells in it that you used to be able to use for pve just feel terrible.
So you mean it as an affirmation? Personnaly I prefer the choice. I would be stuck on a pve realm currently, atleast warmode let me choose do wpvp if I want to.
So wheres my choice that I wanna either pvp for pvp gear or pve for pve gear and i shouldn’t be forced into one . Seems like blizz has selective listening.
Blizzard has yet to get the grasp of what constitutes a PvP only Talent… there are quite a few examples of clearly PvE Talents in the Honor Talent list… and even some examples of clearly PvP Talents in the normal Talents list…
For example: anything that provides a direct damage benefit, a boost to survival, or a group benefit is useful in all areas of the game… however, things focused around slowing targets down, purging buffs, disrupting targeting, preventing stealth, or controlling movement options is more in the purview of PvP, as these things are rarely if ever useful in PvE.
XD
You can actually get gear from pvp, it just takes longer.
But that’s totally another thing.
But like all activities if you want to get the best gear you’ll have to do everything not just one activity. This promote players spending more time playing the whole game. Now if anything yes they could buff the way you acquire gear in pvp since it’s the slowest way out of them all. Or remove it from the game by making pvp gear only work in pvp, but I don’t feel they will ever go back to that.
Expecting Blizzard to follow through on very idealistic promises, lmfao. Even War Mode didn’t hit the mark and not just on balancing (especially where on RP realms, Alliance dominates overwhelmingly in population, whereas everywhere else it seems Horde has the overwhelming majority of players) but they designed it as “Oh well, only people who care about pvp will be in this.”
Yet I still got rage tells for killing people in war mode because they figured we should just all peace mode it and soak up the increased rewards. The only difference is now you really don’t have an excuse, but people will still cry.
I was under the assumption alliance and horde are at war with each other, so warmode basically says you can choose to now be at war with with each other? lol seems like an epic fail to lore.
