So now when there’s been a severe imbalance, Blizzard gives one side (so far just Ally) a quest to kill 25 players on the opposing faction and be rewarded with a 400 ilvl item.
All this does is get a bunch of Ally players to turn on WM for an hour or so. And while it does create some PVP, it doesn’t really solve the problem cause those Ally players just turn it right off afterward. Then wait a few weeks to get another quest.
And the Horde they are killing aren’t really looking for a 5 on 1 beat down. I mean, yeah, they do have WM on, but they are the players who always have it on. And yeah, most of them want to PVP, but it doesn’t make for a good PVP experience.
Why not give this quest and reward to both factions? Then you’d have both factions actually have a reason to turn on WM and WANT to fight each other.
And those with alts (or those who don’t play early in the reset) will still have a reason to turn it on and fight.
There’s always going to be a faction imbalance. And thanks to phasing there are going to be some 5 on 1 beat downs (or worse), but at least this starts to put everyone on an even footing by creating an incentive on BOTH sides to GET IT ON!!!
At this point I do not think they should give the Horde the bonus quest. I feel that it would turn out to be like how the Alliance are getting their quest done, but worse.
As Horde, we need to start warning each other and reminding each other not to go to certain fps during this time. We need them to come to us.
Yea. the 6 months of a free 10% bonus on everything wasn’t enough for this guy. He wants more incentive.

I knew I should have posted this on my ally toon.
I’ve turned off WM on all my Horde toons. There’s no reason to have it on.
Actually this isn’t true because when alliance gets that quest they also get increased xp which causes lowbie alliance characters to have warmode turned on for leveling purposes.
And actually it would make more sense to take away all bonuses than your ‘solution’.

yeah, I’m talking about 120s.
But ok, lowbies. My sub-110 ally lowbies have had WM on since I made them. I RARELY (as in less than 5 times) have had to pvp. The rest of the world is pretty barren. And most of the time when you see the other faction, you each go your own way cause you both are just trying to level as fast as possible.
The fiveish times I’ve had to pvp was when a high level character decided to swoop down and one shot me.
ETA: also, I don’t think it’s been 30% for some time.
