What does it do and is it worth it?
It’s pretty clear that Alliance group up and Horde do not… For the most part anyways and from my experience, Horde barely ever group up.
Alliance, on my server, may not have a lot of good players (From the ones I have run into,) however they mass in numbers and pretty much slaughter everyone. Once in awhile, Horde will accidentally group up by coincidence and over take them, but that is such a rare occasion.
Two days ago, I was trying to do the PvP WQ’s and died to 4 alliance. I was then spawn camped for 1 hour and 24 minutes. There was no horde group, just random Horde passing by that would see me fighting and run off or they would try to get the quest done, but only die to the Alliance group after they killed me.
I logged out and came back a few hours later to only rez and find that there were 4 groups of 3 alliance sticking together. I tried getting the quest done, but again… I was killed and spawn camped for 37 minutes before I logged out and decided to do real life stuff.
After some time doing RL, I just didn’t see the point in playing for a couple days. Having War Mode on and getting spawn camped over and over just isn’t fun. Maybe it would if Horde ever grouped up like Alliance did.
I ended up not doing the WQ’s and missed getting the WQ end reward due to not coming back.
So, is War Mode really worth it? From the tooltip in-game it says it increases quest rewards and experience… From that statement alone, it’s not worth it to me.
I didn’t get the WQ’s done at all because of it on and I took two days off due to frustration.
I laugh at myself for removing it because I am a PvP’er. Always have been, but since coming back after a couple years I have found that the game is forcing me to PvE in order to gear up.
I guess to me, world pvp is much different then arena’s. The playing field is a little better then 3 vs 1 or 20 vs 1.
Anyway, if anyone wants to write about why they have it on or off… please do tell.
Cheers,
