So, let me get this straight. You guys seriously thought that not fixing lowbie camping (why is this even a thing anymore? Why is that not a dishonor kill? SOME kind of punishment for killing someone who has no chance of getting away, no chance of defending themselves has no consequence), and instead making a system where ONLY griefers and lowbies would be PvP flagged was a good idea? Seriously whoever thought of war mode should be fired. It made the world PvP problem stupidly broken. Worse than it ever was.
The difference now is we get punished for turning war mode on by griefers, and we get punished by turning it off by a significantly slower leveling experience. This was a stupid, stupid design decision.

Simple fix is turning warmode off or queing a dungeon to get away

The "simple" fix is a punishment. Extra talents, and 10% more quest and exp rewards is huge.
That's what I'm saying though, it's broken. It was a bad idea.

I don't see it.
Like I get it, getting camped sucks, but thats how pvp rolls.
Even before warmode with actualy pvp servers people were still doing it, this isnt new.

So turning it off is more than 10% slower than being ganked/griefed?
If not, then WM seems to be working more or less as intended. The extra 10% isn't a new baseline, it's compensation for the extra time it takes to level BECAUSE of the ganking.
To be fair, Blizzard originally had scaling that made it possible for lowbies to fight back against gankers. After lots of crying from incompetent 120s - including a former rank 1 arena guy and streamer who got ganked by a 116 because his arena reflexes caused him to lose the fight - Blizzard caved and reversed the scaling.
So you think the intention was to support griefing? Really? If so, then yes, I suppose it is working as intended.
Griefing has always been an issue in WoW, but at least back in the TBC and Vanilla days you had a community, and a limited number of opponents. So if there was a massive dickhead around, people would know about him. It would be an actual faction vs. faction fight.
Now with sharding, you just get boned sometimes. It's a gamble. Earlier I got paired up with a level 120 paladin who did nothing but kill my level 42 priest (the only other player) and every NPC in booty bay for an hour or longer. Nobody else was around. No other horde, or alliance. But sharding just screwed me. That's not interesting from a gameplay or a social dynamic perspective in the slightest. That's just "oh, well, the game decided I wasn't allowed to do these quests for an hour". Where's the counter play? I asked in chat, no alliance were in the zone, none the less 120s.
I mean, I guess if you like grief killing you would love this system, but I hardly think that the system was intentionally designed to ONLY support this type of play.

This was only for 110-115. Beta they didn't get the scaling right from 10-120 to they scraped that plan and just "adjusted" it to 110+

Not sure if that toon was getting camped, but you can always grab this toy to help you out

Drops off Fixxul Lonelyheart for alliance, think of it as a 2nd bubble.

There were two separate scaling nerfs. But you're right, the one that restricted it to 110+ was in beta; I'd forgotten that detail. Then there was another nerf in live which resulted from complaints about losing to 116s.

You might be able to get help from group finder, though you'd have to find a category visible to 120s. If you can get into the Anduin Knights communities, there would probably be some players there willing to help.
That's a good tip, and I hadn't thought of that, I'll have to try it out. But it still doesn't fix the fundamental problem with the system.

Disabled in WoD (for anyone 100+) (thank god, it was annoying and gamebreaking)

Still works until 94 I think, has some level cap.
It's much more tame now than it was when we had PvP servers.
There was no escaping a PvP server unless you paid for a server change, and alot of people played on a PvP server for the wrong reasons. PvE players who didn't do PvP complained about being camped and killed even though they chose a PvP server, and the complaining was much more common than it is currently.
The common solution to those threads back then we're, "get a group, fight it." and it's still somewhat that solution today, except you also have another option of turning it off, it's optional. War Mode has tamed griefing to an extent.

Go level an alliance character. War mode has only made griefing worse, my friend. Yeah, there were always a couple of !@#$%^-s in Duskwood or Tarren Mill. But now? Now it's everywhere. 5-7 different zones I've tried levelling in have had multiple parties invading towns and griefing lowbies. Redridge the other day had a 5 rogue party wreaking havoc on everybody there. We couldn't even leave because they were camping the exits and flight masters.
Earlier in BB it was me, and 7 120 horde. Then I swapped characters. Hellfire peninsula there was a whole raid of horde running around.
Maybe it's not just war mode, maybe it's just that BfA doesn't offer enough to do, but trust me, griefing is really bad right now.

It takes the Horde 5 rogues to gank now? That's hilarious. I mean, not for you, but still.
You act like Alliance dont do the same thing...
Ppl are douchebags on both sides. You just happen to be a douchebag that cant pvp (see your achieves) and rely on zergs (while blaming horde zergs for doing the exact same things you/other allies do).
Yes, I play both factions, and yes both sides do it.
You're all retarded.

Who's achievements? Mine? I haven't played significantly since Wrath. I played casually at the end of Legion. Still trying to find a group of friends to play with now. That's how I ended up levelling on my current server.
When I played most of my play time in this game, achievements didn't exist.
Also, Alliance do it sometimes, too, I'm sure. That only proves that it's a problem. It's more common for horde to do it simply because there are more horde, and more horde in warmode.

I've never heard of Alliance ganking Dranei agents of the light.
Sure, we gank and camp demonically infused orcs, traitorous blood elves, and undead, but they deserve it.
