War Mode for Alliance Population

To anyone who might still care,

Horde currently outnumber Alliance on Arugal server 8 to 2.

Arugal is Oceanic’s only populated server, and its PvP. There is no viable PvE option for Oceanic region.

Leveling in Cata as Alliance really sucks, as someone who just wants to enjoy the content without getting ganked relentlessly atop Mount Hyjal.

A lot of us sought refuge on Arugal after Blizzard killed Remulos last year, the only Oceanic populated PvE server, by opening up free transfers for the dying Horde population to Arugal. The population died, and the rest of us were forced to choose between playing on a dead server, or opting in to PvP on a Horde dominated server.

As it currently stands though, playing as Alliance on Arugal is not possible, and more and more players are being discouraged from playing due to the constant killing. As the Alliance population dwindles as a consequence, so will the raiding scene, and the AH.

Please Blizzard, please @Kaivax, anyone, is there any change you and the team might be able to discuss this internally and offer us some positivity or respite?

War Mode? Some other option? I don’t know. Our only other option would be to transfer to US West servers, but us Aussies aren’t there, we’re here, wanting our own Aussie community which is being killed by the discouragement.

It’s all a real huge bummer…

Thank you.

This killed most of my interest in Cata as well. And don’t worry, the “lol complaining about pvp on a pvp server” apologists will be along soon to tell us our grievance doesn’t exist.

Adding to this, the RDF tool silos together Oceanic players so that we can only get queues with other Oceanic players. With such a low Alliance population the RDF experience is miserably slow and populated almost exclusively by casual players.

It doesn’t need to be this way.

The free transfers off Remulos causing this situation implies they wanted it this way. To what end I have no idea.
