Does Blizzard have any official data or statistics they can share regarding which faction is looting war crates in war mode? There are a hundred topics on this issue on these forums and other forms of social media but most are filled with anecdotal takes and no real data. What is really happening with these crates?

Yeah thatās obviously been my experience on all my alts on all my realms. But for some reason there is some kind of debate, night elves always popping in to remark how horde gets crates āon their realmā (realm doesnāt matter).
If there is data, maybe we can start a conversation about how broken this is. I expect it to show something like 95%+ of crates looted by allies, yet the warmode bonus hasnāt increased to encourage horde to turn on WM and the changes coming to racials arenāt even close to enough to tip the balance. If nothing is going to be done about the imbalance then they should just mail allies 60 conquest every 20 minutes and do away with the crates.

I mostly play alliance, and occasionally play horde. Why is it that I can jump on one of my alliance toons and quest in a zone and grab 4-5 war crates with relative ease, but playing on my horde toons, I have literally got one war crate this entire expansion? Seems a little one sided, if you ask me.

Realms matter more than people think. I mean sure weāre all sharded for the most part, but youāll see different players depending on your server battlegroup.
For example, I notice youāre on Firetree. Thereās a good chance that I will never see you in War Mode unless youāre invited to a group by someone whoās server is sharded with mine and vice versa lol
I play on Bleeding Hollow and Alliance will win crates 90% of the time because suddenly my WeizPvP addon picks up 40-50 Alliance nearby. Iāve tried PvP on RP realms though and those are generally more balanced. Still outnumbers Horde, but not as much as on my serverās shard.

Are the crates bugged ? Seen em flying through mountains really low and no parachute anymore ?
I saw horde get a crate the other night. I was so proud of them.
Rogue was waiting for it to land and capped it immediately.
He got farmed by 30 alliance players directly after that, but he was spamming /lol the whole time.

It is literally 100% Alliance, I doubt Horde has gotten a single crate on any shard in months.

I will say that even though Alliance gets a majority of the crates, Horde can occasionally win it if thereās not too many.
In RP shards too, thereās considerably less Alliance than on my normal shards. Granted they still outnumbers, but not as bad. Won a few on RP shards cause of it.

Alliance get basically all of them. its my primo gearing method since it hits honor, bloody tokens, and conq. ultra efficient.
there is no chance of balancing this. they can either leave it as is, make them worthless so that people dont complain about that which doesnt matter, or make them available to all.
tbh, i love the chill crate farming for gear and id be fine if it was somehow available to both factions. hell, if the crate was lootable by both factions and got more people to turn WM on, then i wouldnt care. its a thing to do. it gets people in WM and logging in. who cares. this game is hollow anyway
Have someone whoās on an RP shard invite you to a group while theyāre in the zone you want to PvP in. 
My wife plays on Wyrmrest Accord and before she does any of her PvE activities, Iāll often ask her to invite an alt of mine to the group. Iāll park an alt in the group, go on my main, sheāll invite my main while sheās in the zone I want to PvP in, and then she can leave group once Iām sharded over. If she just leaves the group and party is disbanded, Iāll get sharded back over to my normal shard, but with an alt (whoās just logged out sitting in group) I donāt have to worry about that.
Leaving the zone will cause me to shard back to my normal though.
This is actually a decent idea.
They could just change it to where you have a timer before you loot. So if you get interrupted you cant.
So if folks still wanted to protect them they could, but it doesnt make it so that there is no longer a reason for you to attempt to try and get them once its capped by one faction or the other.
Would be no more āWell alliance got itā *keeps flying by.
Youd still have a reason to try and land and get it before it despawned.
Honestly, and while it may be ācontroversialā, i just dont care if both factions outright get it with no caveat.
Right now, alliance (me) gets basically all of them for simply existing. its a totally dead mechanic anyway. i just think its chill and i enjoy it. im good with everybody getting that benefit to hanging out in WM and killing time doing whatever in between.

I like knowing the horde never get crates. Not like those animals have the IQ to operate the padlock on the chest anyway. They would capture it and look at each other all āzug zug box locked. What do?ā

After dieing to 1v30 at a warcrate it is fun to kill any solo alliance. Even low levels. Let the world be bathed in blood! DEATH TO THE ALLIANCE!
Alliance gets 90% or more. Donāt need data I play on both sides and have toons on several servers. No matter what shard your on or whatever you do youāre gonna see 10-1 almost every single time no matter what time of day. Itās free gear for alliance. I donāt know anyone who would disagree. You donāt need data to see it.
