I really wish it would give me the option to choose where I wanted to go instead of it picking places for me I am not interested in…
The war board only provided breadcrumb quests to introduce you to areas for your level. You could get to those areas with out the board, and with Chromie time, probably even more efficiently. TBH, the war board is probably outdated now anyway.
It is just a blunt mechanic to drive /timeplayed metrics for the cash shop while barely giving any reward for time or currency spent on it
Basically a trap
Used to drive repeat logins as well, where you might otherwise have waited longer
An idea that could have generated player value but was turned against the players by the progression devs
Somehow I think you have mixed up the war board with something else…
The war board recommends your next leveling area and gives you a quest
There is no time incentive for the war board. The quests provided are based on character level and not time.
No clue what’s going on with this statement
Here’s a novel idea: Don’t use the War board. I sure don’t.
What is the war board?
it’s just the breadcrumb quest giver in each capital city for leveling characters. it doesn’t follow the timewalking campaign you choose or whatnot so it’s kind of silly now.
Uuuuh, are you talking about the mission table? Either way you’re wrong. The table gives you a ton for basically no effort and no resources. I easily clear 20k gold per character for 10 mins of work (and no resources, since the anima rewards cover the costs).
Have to agree. The war board has some minor usefulness, mostly as an easy way to get to the starting quest for old areas, but how useful is it if I have to accept to follow through with a quest log packed full of Northrend, Outland, Draenor and the original areas before my alt can access Panderia, for example. It’s ridiculous. Clearly WOW thinks it’s outdated and does not expect people to want to use it.
