It’s because they have giant heads like toddlers. They are extremely creepy. The mechagnomes are even worse because they’re wearing diapers.

I almost think I could actually get behind playing as a mechagnome if it wasn’t for the fact that they still have their creepy gnome heads.
If they were 100% mechanical, I might actually be able to do it.

Maybe try Mechagnomes. We look incredibly vicious when we’re in combat. We also don’t sway as much.

The heritage armor effectively makes them full on machines. That one trading post set (waste-wanderer?) armor also looks amazing on them if you want that junkyard robot look.
I think gnomes are hilarious to play. The male gnome emotes kill me. The cheer, “Hooray! Hooray! woohoo!” But especially their “GETTHEM!!” /charge emote.
Under appreciated race.

Every time my Gnome cast Frostfire the hands are spinning in circles which looks awesome.

You can’t be like… a serious gnome, you have to go all in.
I made my gnome a hunter and mogged him naked with angel wings. If we’re gonna be creepy then let’s be sooooo creepy that it’s no longer creepy.
Their Charge scream is basically the green knight from Holy Grail with an occasional Xena battle cry.
Gnomes are deadly serious.
