After my run of bug reporting in the beta, I found myself quite enjoying Blizz’s base UI now and I’d like to rid myself of the shackles of Elvui (just hate having to update it manually all the time honestly).
What are healers using for raid frames these days? (I can’t do mouse over heals so that’s not an issue) Is Base WoW UI good enough alone?
Is bartender still worth having? I haven’t used it since MoP.
I feel like I won’t realize how much ElvUi has been doing for QoL which might be a bit of a bummer, so if there’s any must haves would love to hear them.
If updating it manually is an issue, there are additional on managers which do it
Eh I’m tired of having 2 different app managers especially because they don’t know the other one updated all the other addons (nor will they accept my attempt to tell the one that it’s ONLY job is ElvUI).
You can disable all aspects of elvui besides the raid frames. I’d drop suggestions but personally I think the elvui frames are unrivaled in aesthetic and customization.
I haven’t found that to be the case for myself, I do see what you mean. However, I really am tired of fighting mod/app managers to keep one thing updated (since it seems no ONE mod/app manager handles them all
)
Try Grid. That one is pretty decent for raid frames, has some nice customization on the cosmetic side but not so sure about tracking hots and stuff

I use Bartender and default raid frames.
I used to use Healbot, but Bartender does mouseover in the settings, so it wasn’t needed.
Bartender also does auto-assist casting, so you can target an enemy and heal their target, or target a friend and damage their target, without switching targets.
I did a video of my setup a while ago…

I just use one. WoWUp
Does curse forge, elvui, etc.
I’m running a mix of Shadowed Unit Frames, Bartender, and Clique. It’s amazing, highly recommend.

WoWUp won’t cover quite a few of the addons I use, plus I noticed it was lagging behind Curse in updates. Curse won’t do Elv and that’s it so I’d rather stick to the one that’s most reliable.
