I’m sorry, but it’s not possible.
To earn Posidriss, you need to do the quest Hibernation
To do that, you need to win a pet battle
Defeat Wurallie in a Pet Battle with Somnius on your team
and free trial accounts cannot pet battle
On the Starter Edition you will not have access to:
- Most recent expansion content (quests, zones, allied characters, etc)
- Characters above level 20
- Pet Battles
so if i buy basic edition will i be able to do all that?
No. If you buy game time.
The only way to buy just 30 days is to have enough gold to buy a token and immediately redeem it for game time.
Otherwise, you can buy 60 days in the shop or perhaps a game card in a store (although those can be hard to find).
Or you can set up a subscription, if you have paypal or a credit card for that to charge to. You can get 30 days at a time that way.

Just add time on to battle pet?
The expac is free.
The expac isn’t free, but you don’t need the current expac to get to that content. All prior expansions are included in the base game. You only need to add game time to be able to access pet battles.

So the expac is free… I was correct.
Depends which expac you mean.
Dragonflight expac is free now.
The War Within isn’t.
But Dragonflight is all you need to get Posidriss.
Once you get Posidriss, when the game time expires, you can not battle with Posidriss, but you can summon him, have him accompany you.
