title.
both for lvling dungeons and for end game.
when leveling theres absolutely 0 reason to blitz through a legacy dungeon skipping 50-75% of a dungeon just to zerg to end and requeue again.
people who want to see and or do all bosses or see all parts of a dungeon regardless of role ie tank healer or dps, are screwed out of such content because the 4 other people in group who may not agree dont want to wait that long. Utterly sad if you ask me.
When playing alts myself i do all bosses of a given dungeon regardless what teh 4 other people in party think, and sadly to say ive been vtked for it just because i dont skip side bosses/side quests.
if we want to end toxicity in dungeons we should start with this mentality.

I dunno man, I started in April 2009, and by May 2009 I was running dungeons and already getting told to gogogo all caps as soon as we walked into a dungeon. And then with LFD, even worse.
Afaik, the problem precedes wrath too, so…?

there is 0 reason to kill every mob because some dude wants to see what’s in that corner over there
or go way out of your way to kill that optional boss that’s way out of the way
four people who don’t want to do a thing vote kicking the guy who insists on doing the thing isn’t toxic

No reason to do some of the bosses unless the group agrees to it.
As far as speeding through a dungeon thats what makes it fun. While I don’t much care for the timer in M+ I’ve always tried to pull as big as possible to test the limits of my character. I won’t notice killing a boss 5 seconds sooner but I will notice being able to pull an extra group of trash.
bonus experience for completing a dungeon and time being valuable makes this argument invalid

that only works in SP games not mp unless it will have a chest like the old days

As long as players like my husband play. You won’t ever stop this.
His motto is this. Learn on your own time, and don’t waste mine. I am punished for your failures, by having my time wasted.
I bring up the fact that he is playing a game, so his time does not have value. He counters with having fun is the best use of his time, and these people ruin that by hindering his progression.
Point being, no matter what, he has a answer for everything and that is the typical wow player.

maybe find some friends or people in a guild that like to do dungeons the way you do and stop trying to get everyone to do what you want.

I can’t upvote this enough. I remember at the start of TBC when I started playing, we used to spend 30-40 minutes in Deadmines alone. A full clear, including patrols, and making food, putting on new gear, etc. We actually knew the purpose of the dungeon. I’ve even role played in live dungeons as part of a storyline separate from that of the dungeon itself. The tank would pull methodically, DPS did their part, and healers were always watched for mana and aggro. Gone are the days of simply playing to play with so many people rushing to clear since they “have to log in 20 minutes”. If you do not have the time to dedicate to the game, maybe a speed guild is more suited to your style and you can leave LFD/LFR to the more relaxed players who actually made the time to have a well paced run and explore the lore. Just my 2 cents.

I started playing FF14 and thought that dungeons would be different, but they’re not. The go-go-go mentality is prevalent in just about every MMO on the market.

It is quite a funny thing that this motto is prevalent despite players requiring to be in a group to do the content lol.
One could argue it is simply the approach to life in general currently adopted throughout society.

I blame energy drinks for the current go Go GO attitude
They’re all hopped up on caffeine.

That’s what makes it fun for you, not for everyone. Others might be new, might be looking for a quest item, might not know their spec well enough to race through the place. Perhaps what Blizzard needs to do is to regulate how fast a party can go through the dungeon by gating things off until the mobs and quest items are picked up.
I’m sure people would hate that idea, but if they keep up the disrespectful racing through dungeons, eventually Blizzard will implement it.

the majority of people have did these dungeons a million times why don’t you tell blizz to make good expansions so new people will come then it won’t be so go go. you can’t expect people who did these dungeons forever to just say okay lets go slow. and there is an option to find a leveling guild that might run dungeons that way.

It is as I said. You are not doing anything productive to society sitting on your butt and playing a game.
If your enjoyment comes from progression in said game. That means that you take the failure part out of it, and that devalues the “game” aspect.
So you are wasting your time playing a video game for fun, and getting upset because you failed in said game. Acting like your time doing nothing for anyone but yourself has more value than it really does.

go go go dungeons existed before M+ did. It’s been around since vanilla wow.
I missed the days of taking time to go thru dungeons and raids . Now it get in and hear " ARE WE DONE YET" .

this may be a revelation for you, but people value different things

Maybe, but it does not change the fact of what I said. If your time has so much value that failure ruins it. Than a video game is the dumbest thing to play.
It makes me question you.
