Want more players? Make single player options

Ah yes the 3 paths that provide the best gear in the game. We’re asking for #4.

You need to keep up.

The questing and leveling has nothing to do with this.

There is and there can be.

Sure some classes will always have a tougher time over others but that’s fine. Just like in Raiding people take the most Meta classes to nerf the raids hard.

There’s no hard group content. It’s just annoying.

Nah. I am right. You want single player progress, go play a single player game. Some single player challenges are fine, but the game is skewed way too far towards the solo player. A new player levels to cap without talking to a single person, then is expected to know how to interact with other players. You want to talk about toxicity in the game? That is a major cause. New players come in, and they don’t even know how to interact with other classes. It’s ridiculous.

No there won’t be. The majority of the player base does not want hard solo content. The outcry would be massive from the bad players.

It’s not going to happen

Your highest key is a 4. You have zero room to talk.

MT difficulty is also completely class dependent certain classes are better for specific challenges than others, and this is even with the content only having a few specs in there. Which means it fails the balance test for fairness to obtain gear.

Half of MT difficulty is that it uses scaled gear and does not care about current ilvl, it also values gem slots in old gear more and old enchants (crusader) are better than class features (runeforges).

That hasn’t been a thing since level scaling during Legion. I used to do that while leveling.

So the majority of players would be playing on utterly dead realms. Meanwhile, the few who play the game right could go back to pretending that there has never been anything for casuals to do in the game, and that wow was not originally promoted as a game anyone could play at any time, even if you didn’t have friends online.

It never ceases to amaze me how swarms of forum posters come out to insist that the only problem with the game is that there are far too many players, and it would be more successful now if only every player who ever wanted to do any solo content had never joined the game.

How about this: Your actions have consequences. Trying to drive subscribers from they game by insisting they should undergo some sort of a personality transplant based on a deliberate misrepresentation of the game’s history and stop wanting to enjoy themselves is bad for the game.

The game needs more players, not far fewer.

And you’ve been here long enough to know some complaints are pretty ignorant, one example would be lobbying to make an MMO a single player game.

Can I get on that list now? I’m eager for you to ignore me because we won’t change each other’s minds.

Why do you guys need to misrepresent that? Nobody whatever is asking for that. Will you be happier when wow is turned into a tiny seasonal esports lobby game with a cult following, one that rarely gets updates? Will you still be claiming that it has always been just that?

No, Blizz can (and should have) merged realms aggressively as populations shrunk rather than give us the shards/crz mess of total strangers everywhere.

That’s fine. And guess what…having a single fresh Wrath server is not contrary or conflicting to that. It would merely offer an experience that cannot be obtained on an existing realm. Particularly if servers ever got actually merged.

I never said it was, not did I make any comment on fresh wrath servers.

I don’t recall saying you did.

You know, you try to address the content of the post and not the poster and people still don’t like it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m not even sure how a fresh wrath server is relevant to the conversation TBH.

SOME…your comment clearly inferred the idea that NOTHING thats in the game is liked. You know what hyperbole is, I assume.

you mean this mmo that is filled to the guts with solo content like questing and pet battles? and even Chromie Time being added to scale so we can still run old content SOLO? that “MMO”?

thats why I called him on the hyperbolic rhetoric.
We dislike SOME of the game…especially the last two expansion and the absurd systems and currency grinds over REAL content.
Sometimes I swear its blizzard employees posting in here pretending to be players

NO ONE is or has asked for it to be a solo game. We’ve asked for more solo content.
Not even remotely the same thing.

I would really enjoy this. I would pay a higher sub fee for this. I could care less if the rewards/drops were on par with what players get for doing dungeons, mythic, and raids traditionally. Give me a group of npc’s to fill out whatever roles my character is not, and let solo players enjoy the content while it’s current and relevant. Between family and career, I don’t have time to play on a guilds schedule or waste time on a bad pug.

You are completely missing the point here dude.

What if MT did give 278 iLVL. What if it was current SL content instead of Legion content that was as hard as MT. What if we had hard mode solo content that was arguably harder than mythic raiding and gave the same iLVL gear, what difference would it make?

Why, if the content is as hard or harder than raiding, shouldn’t there be an option for solo and casual players to gear up? Why can’t games change to the needs of who is paying for the game? The hard stance this company has been taking for years is taking it’s toll on the game itself. If players want something than eventually they are going to have to hand it over or face the fact that players will just end up leaving and this isn’t the WoW of old, we don’t get new players like we used to around here.

No difference to current group content. Look at the Lords fight and the Garrosh fight in SOD, if you don’t have a DK than it makes it much harder, and that’s just the first example I could think off. There are numerous raid fights now and over the years that have been made easier with having the right specs, it’s the same with dungeons that the right 5 specs make the content easy whereas the wrong 5 specs makes the same content much harder.

Blizzard have not been able to balance this game to be truly fair basically never, arguing that solo content would be easy more and unfair is not a good argument because I can argue the same about group content being unfair to some.

And you still haven’t done the mage tower so you should stay quiet about solo content.
