This popped up on the FFXIV subreddit. I was gonna pass it over until I read one of the comments, then I watched.

I chuckled here and there, then when Urianger showed up, I lost it.

Anyone that describes themselves as a ‘WoW Refugee’ when they play another MMO is going to have a totally biased and exaggerated opinion of both WoW AND whatever game they’ve moved to.

You see it less these days because MMOs aren’t releasing every other year getting hyped as WoW killers anymore, but it’s the same thing – I hopped on Wildstar when it was new. EVERY single dungeon group and everything in zone chats was just a constant stream of “oh my god this is so much better than WoW”. People have to validate their decisions to themselves. This guy is no different, even if he’s trying to make a joke of it.

It’s usually the other way when I go to play other MMO’s. It’s the whole - " OMG they just copied WoW. This is just like WoW".

It’s not terribly good. It reeks of bias, and this guy seems to have it out for pandaria.

What it boils down to is one guy, who clearly has a biased anger towards wow, is trying to “Break down” the Shadow Bringers trailer for FF14, and relate it in some way to events going on in WoW.

I can admit WoW isn’t really in a spot I personally like, but this guy exaggerates heavily.

You might get a laugh at this if your one of those people that have completely given up on wow, and hate everything about it since MoP, but that’s the only kind of person I’d think would like it.

Edit: This is just really a test to see if I can post videos. Looks like I can neat. Removing video so I don’t get tagged as advertising for another game.

Reeks of bias for whom, where? I didn’t get the impression that he has it out for Pandaria, either, he was stating what a lot of WoW players were crying when Mists came out (not all of them, mind).

The guy who posted the video even made a comment below it clarifying he still loves WoW, he just doesn’t love BFA.

Exactly… This guy plays WoW and has for many years. How can one be bias against something they play. He’s clearly upset with how WoW has been getting worse over the year and with each xpac.

Just another nobody trying to make a name for themselves by jumping on the wowbashing train.

And in the process just becoming another unpaid marketing rep for square enix.

That’s the only laugh to be had here.
