Why do we get wands? What a waste of a Delve bounty drop. Am I missing something?
Mog it to a sword or dagger.

What’s the issue with wands? They’re a stat stick just as any other one hander
Yeah but it does suck knowing you essentially got half a weapon, when it could have easily have been a Staff.
No…? When you get a one hander you pair it with an off hand
… right …?
You pair it.. with the other half.. to make it a whole..
Example.
You have a 240 Staff and run a bountiful Delve. You get a 260 Staff. Sweet! One bountiful yielded a 20ilvl increase weapon.
Alternatively, you get a 260 Wand. Great.. now you have to pair it with a 260 Off-Hand for the same results, but you probably don’t have one of those. If you did, well then you just went through this scenario in the past when you originally acquired the off-hand first with no wand/dagger to pair.
So then get the off hand? I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make. One handers and off handers are most of the time better anyway

The point is you have to now get the off hand. Aka you now have to run a second delve, and use another key, just for the same results.
Not saying its the end of the world, just saying it kind of sucks. Time is money.
Yes. You do. That’s how the game works. I still don’t understand your point
1H+OH is a waste of coffer keys/maps/vault slots since you have to spend twice the currency (/time) as 2H to complete your weapon. You get penalized on crest upgrades, too.
They should switch 1H+OH to work like Legion Artifact weapons where the weapons are represented by a single “set” that can occupy both slots. That system exists and we can already transmog the weapons. Then they just need to bring upgrade costs in line with 2H.
This issue also penalizes dual wield-only classes in general which I think is totally unnecessary.
It’s not fun or interesting to get a 1H weapon as a warlock unless you prefer the transmog, and the transmog could be easily solved.
I don’t know about you guys, but i always keep a spare OH around just in case i get a great 1H, that “just in case” OH is always upgraded and replaced as the tier progresses on the off chance it’s needed ![]()
Wands are a ranged weapon (or at least they were), as such attacking would mean that, between casts, your wand fired off a bolt (or rather a small pellet) of damage.
Honestly, they’re really a relic of a past time that have been mostly forgotten and are best used for disenchanting.
Glad they do drop. Almost exclusively go with 1h + OH combo
especially since for M forsaken staves get the miniturized treatment for some reason
One takes one drop, dependent on RNG.
The other takes TWO drops, dependent on RNG.
While I’m not mad about the wand, I like the wand and offhand aesthetically if nothing else…
…you’re coming across as obtuse on purpose… their point is pretty easy to grasp.
For demo locks, having had Corruption taken away again, it’s nice to have a backup for activating mechanics that need you to put any amount of damage on something, or another way to tag mobs when you’re clearing old content where everything one-shots to your demons.
(Sometimes the curses don’t work well for this sort of stuff.)
I’m so happy my first bountiful T8 map delve gave me a Heroic Staff. hugs it tight
One handers and off handers have historically been better than staves, why would they not require separate drops? They’re also much easier to upgrade separately by casting a wider net of drop pools than a single weapon. Either their point is unclear, or it’s nonsensical
The other poster wants one drop instead of two, and to spend six crests instead of twelve… and you still insist they’re being nonsensical?
Yeah, you’re just dug in at this point. ![]()
I prefer a wand and offhand for Kaz, but I can at least see where the other poster is coming from.
Yes, because they are. Complaining about getting better gear makes no sense
Do you expect sense from a WoW Classic toon?
