Question does anyone use wands in WoW and why? I’m considering using a wand in Shadowlands cause I like how they look and wanted to get an idea of whether it’s worth it or not and if I should instead use a staff or mace/dagger
i’m a hardcore button freak, i dont even consider wands a thing… i guess if you right click you might throw out a bolt, thats better then a melee swing with a staff or something
No, though they used to be a mandatory pick a long, long time ago. They’re a generic weapon now, and don’t really help you substantially.
So it’s really just a cosmetic choice I’m guessing I was mostly wondering if it would leave me at a disadvantage so thank you
If it’s better than a different MH and you can equip it, use it.

Nope! It’s just like any other MH for casters. So you go by stats.

It’s mostly cosmetic. Also, the transmog options for wands is one of the most limited in game. BUT, if you find a wand that gives you better ilvl or stats, you should go for it. There’s no reason NOT to use a wand, unless you were using a 2hand staff, and your stats will go down because of it.

They’re a requirement for the Sire Denathrius fight in phase 1 when you need to keep DPS on him but not enough dps to phase him. Wands are BiS for the fight.
Thank you so much staffs are awkward with size when it comes to my vulpera and daggers and maces aren’t my style so

Why wouldn’t you just use spells in that instance?
Fun fact but if you use the backpack from the vulpera heritage armor, it will hide a staff each time you have it on your back.
But to reply to your question, I only use wands when I don’t have a choice, I personally hate the options for transmogs for those.
