Hallo!
Newbie priest looking for some insight! I love the looks for a lot of the wands and off-hand items and would like to put together a fun transmog for them as I get higher in level. Is doing so as viable as using a staff would be? What drawbacks are there to going this route? Any advantages?
Appreciate any help!
Wands actually can’t be used as transmog with other weapons and vice versa. Their reasoning is that they come with a “shoot” animation that wouldn’t work with other items. So in order to tmog to a wand, you’d need to have a wand. I think it’s a bit ridiculous that you can tmog a 1h to a 2h but not a wand. Like who shoots a wand at high level? I say if they put that restriction on it because of “shoot”, then make the wand do a reasonable amount of dmg…
I mean, that’s fine. I really just don’t want to use a staff! Can I not use a staff and just use wand / non-wand one-handed and off-hand transmogs and not be seen as someone who is a liability?
Of course you can! It doesn’t matter about the type of weapon it is, as long as it has intellect on it and you can equip it, it will be viable for you.
We can equip staffs, but priests can also equip daggers, maces, wands. When you equip one of these, you’ll want to pair it with an off-hand weapon type, as you discovered. There are lots of caster daggers, wands, and maces out there for you to use and transmog.
Yes! And staff can be transmogged into a 1h/oh, just not a wand.
Edit: Staff cannot be transmogged into 1h/oh unless it’s a Legion artifact. My mistake
