Over the last few days I have been leveling a NE Priest, level 18 now. I’ve taken the 5 points to improve the wand damage. When looking at a wand what is the most important part to look at? Damage range? Attack speed? Or DPS?
DPS. If two wands are the same DPS, then attack speed. Wands are subject to pushback and faster wands help negate that.
DPS > Speed > Damage Range

It’s also good to get a wand that is not shadow damage if you’re a priest, because it’s difficult for immune mobs.
Ok thanks for the information. I notice the wand I’m using, the level 13 crafted one, has a larger damage range than wands that are several levels higher. However, the DPS is lower on the wand I’m using.
Make someone carry you through the BFD quest for the wand there. Its gettable at lvl 18 and you wont replace it till 30 something

at that level take whatever wands you get.

As a suggestion.
Get spirit tap asap, typically by 18 you should have it.
The ideal way to level as a priest is to unload all your spells at the start, so when you wand the mob you get the 5 second rule of not casting and begin to Regen mana, then when the mob dies you get the spirit tap buff, you will basically be full Mana before you even pull again.
That quest requires you to be level 22 to obtain it.

You’re right. I must have been looking at something different. You only need to be level 18 to get the wand. Well, I may have to buy a boost through that dungeon or ask a guildie.
