It’s really a shame that I’m experiencing a recurring issue whenever the game requires an update. It gets stuck on the ‘check other updates’ stage, even though I only have World of Warcraft installed on my computer. This problem has happened multiple times in the past, and I find it frustrating especially considering the game’s high cost and monthly subscription. It would be appreciated if the developers could come up with a solution to this problem, even for an amateur game.
Yes updating wow is just a real pain now with this constant ‘waiting on another update’ bs.
It’s actually just waiting ON ITSELF. The poor code in the launcher starts more than one battle.net update agent. As a result, the code traps the ‘waiting on another update’ error.
So stupid. It take me multiple bnet app restarts, constantly killing duplicate bnet update agents processes. This is usually a waste of time, since the only way to update now is to reboot your PC, and run the update with NOTHING else runnning on your pc.
I’ve been going into the task manager and typing battle in the search for processes. You should get two battle.net processes, battle.net and battle.net update agent. I kept ending the battle.net update agent until I started seeing some numbers on the Blizzard down loader and waited for it to finish. Which still took awhile, but at least it got off “waiting on another update”.

Yeah It happens just to solve for it self but dam its so frustrating, im glad this is not a paid game “right”?
