…but yeah, Dungeon Finder ruined Warcraft.
Make your own group. And don’t spam. Send tells to people especially tanks.
Do a /who 60 druid etc
I think a lot of people that are against dungeon finder, are legitimately confused and think’s it’s gonna be retail version where it ports you to the dungeon, and is cross realm.
When in reality it would just be a tool to help post, and form the group
Yes.
If it’s not cross realm, and you still need to be out in the world to be ganked, seen, waved at, then no problem.
This is a terrible idea.
Lol what? Why is sending a tell to someone asking if they want to tank a bad idea?
I always have good luck doing that.
Took you 2 hours. I’ve been looking for a Dire Maul East group for days and I got zero response.
If I were getting constant spam about tanking dungeons I would be putting everyone on ignore.
Well considering the new exp is days away of course its hard to find a group for dead content why would anyone want to run that dungeon anyways? extra blue gear that gets replaced in one lvl?
Main issue is there is little reason for people to really run dungeons right now. I am having similar issues but if you think about it, in less than a week we will be in outland and most (not all) gear from these dungeons will be obsolete.
Well duh. I never said harass someone. I asked once and if no reply I move on. Common sense and curtesy.
Yes! This was one of the best TBC additions. I loved being able to choose 3 dungeons and basically put a note there saying “Enhancement Shaman” so people browsing said dungeons would know instantly what I was looking to do.
some people just don’t like to use their brains and think
Is the wave of leveling alts on your server at DME yet? Mine aren’t, currently many Ulda/RFD groups. More importantly, still prepatch, not everyones leveling alts cause they don’t need to. Rest are boosting.
Now have you tried starting your own group?
That’s part of the magic of Classic WoW… you have to network, socialize, and build relationships.
Easy, boosted druids and warriors want the mace you get from the quest in there. tank should be super easy to get for that. Same with north, there’s a great ring in the tribute chest and some other stuff.
for healers, it’s a little less likely, but maybe you could find a rare boosted shaman healer or a freshly leveled BE paladin if not a priest or druid healer.
And for dps, you simply can’t get enough players who just want to DPS. Don’t even worry about finding one until you have your tank and healer. very easy, just market to the people you need. look for a boosted character in orgrimmar, and whisper them your pitch.
just gotta know your audience.
Most of the groups on my server for my alt right now are few and far between, even when advertising. People would rather hawk gold from their main to have RandomMage2938 boost them through a dungeon.
But yes, let’s keep sticking to the “you gotta socalize to get a group” mindset.
Exactly. That was the point I was trying to make as well. I maintain a friends list for a reason. Asking people in tells can lead to great groups, and friendships.
Ask your guild. Ask your friends. That’s what Classic WoW is… community.
Don’t try and run dead content? We’re at the end of the game. People are getting ready for TBC, leveling the new races, grinding out honor and BG marks. I’m sorry you missed the boat, but show up earlier next time? Until the TBC hype dies down I don’t think classic servers are going to have much population so I think DM is out of the question.
Less than a week before the portal opens, everyone in a big scramble right now.
