I’m going to try it when it comes out. Who knows, now that I’m older and my focus is on raid logging, why not play it. I can raid log in CATA just as easily as I can WoTLK
Wait, people still play wrath?
I hope it’s in before then, preferably at ICC at least.
More than play Dragonflight.
I remember cata being some of the hardest heroic content ever made, on the level of mythics. Endtime sylvannas was brutal without a super coordinated gorup, and the ZG/ZA remakes were pretty rough too.
I hated the talent tree pruning, what it did to the old world and trying to get around on low level characters and the constant nerfs to my main class, balancing around 3s. Every single week, another nerf…lol. I did like something about it, as well. It depends on the changes and rdf is at the top of the list. Even tho I never really raided, lfr should not be taken away, either.
Trust in acti-buzzard is gone, so I will see what the changes are before a final decision. But, no RDF at the start and no era wrath servers (with RDF) the acti-buzzard ride is over…for me.
To be clear, RDF should include everything up to a level below the highest current dungeon (at least) the teleport and rewards it was intended to have when originally implemented. They can add rewards to the lfg to even it for all I care.
It was only hard before they nerfed the dungeons in general both normal/heroic got nerfed since the people who came from WOTLK couldn’t handle the sudden rise in difficulty.
For The End of Time three dungeons Sylvannas was actually kind of easy you just needed to kick her spell and focus the same ghoul and then get out of the way to avoid being destroyed by her next attack.
To me Tyrande was way harder due to all the tiny energy balls flying all over you needed to dodge while kicking her spells and avoiding aoe exploding all over, people couldn’t handle that fight.
As for Jaina people couldn’t figure out they needed to destroy the bombs before they went off, got so many wipe because of that simple mechanic. lol
Well that was until people got good enough gear and then it always was easy, but still way harder that anything WOTLK has to offer that is for sure.
If there’s Cata with RDF it will be a good time. Leveling alts doing dungeon spams etc. is fun, spamming LFG channel trying to get grps for alt leveling is the worst feeling ever.
For first play through to max level, whatever, just let it unlock RDF once you get 1 max level toon ffs.
Half of us arent even playing Wrath because of how “terrible it is” why not do cata?
Thanks for your opinion! I believe warmane will still be available for anyone who feels anything after wrath is bad. I still just dont understand everyone’s need to talk about how they arent gonna play. We dont care. Have fun on the p servers and tbh prolly still catch you on cata as well, cuz u know, you aint gonna quit either.
Wotlk is a mid xpac without arthas.
Cataclysm classic is going to be better than wotlk classic.
Cata is basically wotlk but better raids and dungeons and a better old world leveling experience.
Wotlk has ulduar and ICC and cata has almost every raid being better besides DS which is at the end of the game.
Not even close. Factions have been holding this game back forever. Ands yes, I actually want to play the game, not sit around doing nothing.
I cannot imagine playing WOW with this mindset. It’s not even Warcraft at that point. One may as well play another game if they think this way. The fluff is a major part of a franchise’s enjoyment and removing it for convenience is always the mark of a dying franchise. It would just be another MMO with fantasy elements in a market of them.
Ill play cata every day until the day i die
Ah, yes it is not Warcraft because war cannot exist unless orcs and humans are stabbing each other. Forget old gods or the fact that horde and alliance have been grouping together in lore since Vanilla. Forget any other potential targets of war. Nope just has to be glorious orc vs human fighting in a wartorn world.
Do I want the factions done away with? No, not at all. Hell, I’d prefer they stay and be realistic to the story and not be statically forced like it is.
ItS NoT EvEn WaRCrAFT.
Ya man, if you ignore the factions working together since the beginning you might think that way. Not having factions does not stop you from doing any content so like I said, it was holding the game back.
Beat me to it, well said.
That’s literally how the Warcraft lore has been since WC3. Thrall himself is big friends with the alliance leaders and even boned Jaina.
We have one guy, started playing in cata, thinks classiclysm will be great.
Obviously wod was the best expansion though, gladiator stance.
I don’t really want to play Cata but I also don’t want to abandon my character I’ve been playing since day 1 of classic. Was really hopeful that blizz just lets us copy our classic guys to retail tbh, would rather play that than cata but don’t want to leave my main behind
