this is why i was very confused at how and why everyone was saying they were going to stop playing retail 3 weeks into a season, and go hard into this mop thing. i could see this being like a little xp event or something perhaps during prepatch for next expansion, or right before, but im lost on this one. There’s absolutely no player power or true character progression in it, no endgame systems, so whats the point?
There are a ton of recolors, so if you are into that, it is something.
The biggest selling point for me is being able to finally get the tusks from that jerk in Seige.
The only benefit I see is players leveling around you, which is rare OW, and its faster than questing to 70. I think you’d be better of doing 2h over time and boosting lmao
yea, i mean, im still gonna boost any alt i wanna bring up to 70 before next expansion.
It’s just blizzard using recycled content, slapping some pretty bows on it in the form of gems that do wierd things you can’t do in retail and saying there’s your “content” essentially. I’m assuming they were desperate to find something for us to do until prepatch.
i just think its WAY too early. the season just started. do something to entice people to play the season, not pull people away to this crap
Agree here too, they could have done something to add to season 4 Instead of making an entirely new version of the game, especially this version.
It’s…just mop with df talents.
It wasn’t my thing either, I’m not really a collector nor do I enjoy leveling in retail, so I wasn’t expecting it to be for me.
I actually like leveling. I’ll level alts just to level them. But because I do it so often on retail, I wanted it to feel different here in remix and it didn’t sadly and I feel like a large reason for me at least is because I’m still using retail talents lol, and that’s okay it’s just not for me.
So far remix is exactly what was advertised and it’s a blast. I don’t know why anyone would expect MoP talents when Blizz specifically said they were using retail talents. It’s one of the few times lately that Blizz accurately communicated what they were doing.
Rolled me a Gobbo WW Monk. Got the Tinker for Heroic Leap.
Torpedo → Tiger’s Lust → Rocket Jump → Heroic Leap → Torpedo → Flying Dragon Kick
Been zooming zooms across the Jade Forest, and off cliffs I forgot were deadly lol.
Blizzard: Here’s an event that’s primarily about being goofy with spells/abilities your class normally doesn’t have, fast paced leveling alts, and collecting things.
Try hards who don’t collect stuff: What do you mean this event isn’t serious character progression event?
Not everything needs to be about player power progression. This is meant to be a fun event, not a mix/max hardcore progression path.
Im betting that they find a way so this wont happen.
ON topic -
You cant please all the people all the time.
Not blizzards fault that you didnt pay attention.
Play it or do not play it. You have the power.
The whole event looks underwhelming and boring, imo. But I’m glad other people are having fun with it. Isn’t it great that this game offers something for everyone?
Are dungeons / raids going to be designed around a gem meta?
“Kick this noob hes not wearing the right gems!”
It seems closer to Classic’s Season of Discovery. Which is great if only for three months.
Im loving it so far, so thats all that matters. lol
My ret paladin has a frost armor ability and can turn into a lightning ball to kill almost everything in the room.
I kind of like the gems with abilities that you can socket in your gear. Fun change. Also I missed Lorewalker Cho.
