They didn’t do a very good idea of marketing remix tbh. I think it would have been better to just do what they did with plunder and just release it without information.
If only you read any of the 870 articles plastered all over every website or played the PTR you’d have known this secret truth earlier.
the first usable item I got launched me a half-island away into the ocean.
This is going to be an absolute riot.
Considering the grief they got for being so secretive with Plunderstorm, I don’t blame them for just putting it all out there this time around.
I disagree. If you would link us to the article that explained all the things that OP was disappointed to discover on release, that would be great. But the idea that a person would have to have spent literally hundreds of hours scouring the internet to read 870 articles, most of which were heavy on vague hype in order to understand. So I guess you do research instead of playing the game, if you spent 60 hours a week for the past month and a half seeking out and reading random articles, right?
That was never a realistic option.
This is what we call blatant misinformation.
Generally, 1 article. At the top of WoWhead or Icyveins is answering these questions.
It’s what people have been asking for for years whenever the topic of “I want to play MoP classic” came up.
The poster said she should have read 870 articles. I’m sorry your reading comprehension is so poor you missed that exact number she was using.
So, the event is exactly what Blizzard told us it would be?
Even to my own surprise, yes. Yes, it is.
This?
Man.
What is hilarious is how you blasted my reading comprehension.
The poster did not say anyone should have read 870 articles
I follow creators on both X and Youtube. This stuff has been known for weeks now.
There were TONS of people going in to the PTR to report back to us Retail players what was coming. If you didnt bother to watch Belluers video, or read a WoWHead article, thats on you.
I just wanna say I appreciate all you pioneers ironing out the bugs and the best ways to do stuff so I can speed run it in a few weeks for a 14th max level alt.
The Sovereign of Hyperbole themselves. Alternatively, spend 30s every night before bed checking wowhead for news like a normal person. You can also follow the wowhead discord and get the updates pushed directly to your phone for your own curation as you please with even less effort.
I’m fascinated by the dichotomy of someone who can’t be bothered to follow any wow news and is also this upset by being surprised about developments in wow.
he literally said
what are we even doing here.
Tons of stuff not in retail, also the time running sets arent class restricted like retail tier.
This is the absolute bestest event thing they have ever made.
Ever.
I love when people don’t actually read anything about events and just make up what they want it to be in their heads, then complain on the forums when the event isn’t what they imagined it should be based on their own assumptions.
Two things you missed:
-
It has SOD skill collection abilities. I rolled a monk, and I’ve gotten Stealth and Door Of Shadows from SL already ( I just started and I’m only 16 right now).
-
They added a LOT of new transmogs and mounts using that new currency.
Oh, and you can dragon ride… AT LEVEL 11!
To you. To me, a person that has been dying for extra character slots (a new bonus from this) and a way to “speed level” those new alts while collecting completely new stuff, this is an absolute boon.
Edit: I would like to add I would love it if Blizzard turned THIS into “Chromie time”. I would LOVE this for alts but in other expansions.
You know how at the end of each expansion, people like to prep new alts and have faster leveling?
This is that.
Yeah I was a little bemused its SoDMoP with retails weird systems
Take the gem system in remix, why not just shift right click to socket or replace a gem with the old gem going into bags automatically. But no we silly wee tool that ads two clicks.
You weren’t paying attention then lol.
