Why is this removed? Why not add it to the Dark Ranger tree?
It’s such a cool talent and adds so much to the DR fantasy.

Still sucks about Wailing Arrow.
They are removing Wailing Arrow now, too? God Blizzard is so out to lunch it’s not even funny anymore. The people designing Hunter must actually hate the class, the game, the players and anything fun. Microsoft needs to go in and fire a bunch of people ASAP, this is nuts.

Dunno, but the updated Dark Ranger feels worse than the old version. It’s weird. Seems like things are made worse every patch.

I liked Wailing Arrow. Use to use it as a skillshot inturupt and it hit HARD. R.I.P.

Unfortunately this ability does not work with Trick shots, although they explicitly said in some patch notes once “wailing arrow interaction with other abilities such as trick shots fixed”. For this reason, it is sometimes damage loss compared to simple aimed shot. Also, the silence is weird to apply.
Overall, the “legacy + wailing arrow + readiness” package was very hated, because you need to spend 4 points just to take wailing arrow and make it do something.
They could at the very least keep the Wailing Arrow that fires when you click Trueshot.

This is the thing - it’s weaker than normal aimed shot most of the time.
If you send Volley, and then Trueshot → Wailing arrow, it doesn’t cleave with trick shots, it has its own weak AOE component. The new Aimed shot will be a lot stronger
