I find I usually have to go to security, then “log out all devices”, then open the developer tools in the browser, and right click the refresh button, and select “clear cache and hard reload”. Then log in
And then maaaaaybe it works.

I finally got it to work by just logging in for a little while. Seems like it remembered then. I appreciate the pointers.
Just as I’m about to clear up my backlog of games another one in early access I’ve been waiting on an update for, Gloomwood, releases a huge update.

I’ve found that the only effective way to clear my backlog is to quit adding games that I know perfectly well I won’t have time to play.

Yeah I originally cleared it by acknowledging that I was never gonna play 90% of those games anyway.
I just had a recent thing where I was trying to get through Silent Hill 2, MechWarrior 5 Clans, and Rogue Trader all at once and I beat the first 2 already and just working my way through Rogue Trader.
I’ll also probably check out Marvel Rivals when it releases tomorrow night.

The important part is that the backlog currently has nothing in it. There’s just games in the “currently playing” list.
the important part is THEIR STILL THERE.
The statement that the backlog is cleared is, by dint of careful definition, technically correct.
Which is, of course, the best kind of correct.

The games still exist, but I am no longer pretending there was ever a chance I was going to play them.
I’ve moved on. My world is now the one where there are no backlogs, only currently playing.

Yeah I’ve been getting the urge to play some Mass Effect lately. I’ll probably fire up a new playthrough in the new year.
I’ve been tempted to start a Baldur’s Gate 1-3 run at some point too.
