I was still young at the time and the frontends were similar enough that in my mind Windows 95, 98, and 2000 are all the same OS.

I forget its name, but someone, somewhere, designed a language deliberately and with malice aforethought to be as useless as possible.

And no, that language is not Ada. That was designed by a committee to meet a DoD specification, which tells you everything you need to know about how it got to be as awful and obnoxious as it is.
