Wafting Devotion Discussion

It’s come to my attention that high parsing DH players are running wafting devotion, on what appears to be both weapons.

What is the true benefit to this? More procs on anvil and bile tusks? Potentially three BDs in a ES window? Sure, but is it really beating out double sophic? Maybe in raid, surely not in keys. HmmChamp.

Let me know what your thoughts are and if you think I should make the switch to wafting.

You want haste in raids. Wafting is the way to go.
You want high burst damage (crit) for keys. Sophic is the way for that.

That doesn’t explain why it’s good though. Sophic should theoretically give you more damage because of the multipliers already affecting Havoc.

So Toxic Thorn Wraps are tied to Haste from what Ive heard, so if you run them, your priority will change, this also applies to our 4pc as it affects Eye Beam with CoH. Bile Tusks Im not really sure if thats tired to haste I think thats just more borrowed power for us as with the Anvil

The tier set revolves around dumping as much fury as possible and eye beam. haste allows you to spend more fury faster meaning a higher uptime on our 2set, which buffs our 4 set.

I’m probably wrong but this is why i assume haste takes prio over mastery now (in a raid)

Makes sense I suppose.

Long story short, sim your gear.
You may not have enough stats to warrant using wafting devotion. Once youve hit enough primary stat, wafting devotion can yield more dps.

I’m 441 ilvl, just put a wafting on my 447 tusk from vault.

Wouldn’t double Shadowflame wreath do more ST? I’m testing double wafting rn, not really seeing much out of it.

Just sim it. It might be more of less of a dps increase for you depending on what your gear looks like, secondary distribution, item level etc.
