Sadly probably at least that much. They very greedy.
I bought one because I’m a foxy lady!
I didn’t know it could fly until just now though.
You missed the point, but since you seem to think you have such wisdom how about you decide where to draw the line between making money and just flat out greed?
Take your time, I’ll wait.
hmm
a) You liked the mount, you felt it was worth your purchase. Until you saw other people complaining, then changed your mind? Nothing like being easily influenced by others, I guess.
b) For every store mount released during BFA there have been a ton of cool earnable mounts released in BFA. Too many for me to even count off hand.
c) dont worry, you can earn the vulpine mount 100% through in game actions, and its actually easier/cheaper than many BFA cool mounts which have been released!
I never got this “they are greedy” excuse.
If they were truly greedy, they’d realize the best way to make the most money would be to put out quality content. If you do things to drive away your playerbase, then you will lose money. Which sounds incredibly not greedy.
Less than two tokens, cheap
Every store mount starts at $25. Wait. There will be a sale eventually.
I agree with you completely. Unfortunately, what we often get is content that is merely cheap to produce, which as we all know is not always the highest quality.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they put re-skinned versions in the game at some point.
It’s a dumb looking mount to begin with.
I loved those. Made me feel like I was working towards something and I was proud as punch the day I finally earned the right to fly a cloud serpent.
I really didnt like how they took away the faction restriction towards the end of MoP. It made all my effort feel wasted and removed a certain sense of accomplishment from the game that people can no longer obtain.
I mean…im not sure how much you understand about making video games, but one mount takes a lot less time to make than an entire questline, and multiple models to go with it.
I was pointing out your absurd leap of logic that someone saying its ok for businesses to make money means they must support pricing medication so high that people who need it to survive can’t afford.
A company who designs video games making a cosmetic item isn’t the same as some big bad pharma bro CEO trying to pad his bonus.
I’m sorry you failed to recognize my purposeful hyperbole then.
True. I guess it was just wishful thinking.
You can’t have designers who did the venomhide ravasaur or mop farm anymore.
Or cloud serpent dailies and mage tower.
They are also cheaper than most of the higher end in game gold option ones assuming you just buy tokens for one. Like 230k gold for the mount and $5 b net balance compared to any of the various 300k+ mounts such as the frog one.
Once the model is made, they can sell infinite copies of the virtual pet, so the cost of making it isn’t as relevant to the price as what they think people will be willing to pay for it.
Are we pretending they didn’t add a long and involved quest line for a mount in BFA?
The argument that cosmetic cash shop items don’t affect you is completely false. By supporting the cash shop you are disincentivizing Blizzard from actually improving the game through normal means that are available to all subscribers.
Also, by paying via WoW token you are generating token demand, making it more attractive for people to spend real money on WoW tokens to sell for in game gold.
Blizzard wins either way.
I forgot about that one. I wish they had made an alliance one too.
The mounts in the store have always been 25.00 with the exception of the warforged nightmare. it’s 30.00 but will allow 4 other people you are grouped with to ride the same mount as well. I usually wait to buy mounts when I can get them for 12.50. But I have no problem with the 25.00 price tag for a cosmetic mount. I have all the mounts with the exception of the Vulpine familiar and all of the in store pets. They are cosmetic items they don’t boost your game play over others in any way so I have no issue with them being the price they are or existing at all.
