For the foxes! Found the original thread!
My heart screamed the moment I saw Vulpera in BlizzCon. Need me some foxy boys and gals in my life!
Only issue would be the predicament of choosing which characters should stay Tauren, and which I should make Vulpera. (≧∀≦)

My decision about whether or not to race change usually boils down to what story I've written for my character in my head. If I'm not really invested in the story and I feel like I can come up with a better one on a new race, I'll probably race change

Makes sense. I know for sure I'll make a Vulpera rogue. But as for shaman, or even paladin if datamining proves correct, that'll be a harder decision. I'll certainly use your suggestion!
On another note, Kiro's voice makes me melt and quiver.
I don't really prefer vulpera over other options (plus as a worgen player it looks bad if I play one of those too yknow :p), but I must say another small race appeals to me. I can imagine a big battlefield with orcs and tauren, and beneath them all there's goblins and vulpera scurrying unseen underfoot

Heck I'll be an elf player playing a vulpera, you'd better believe it. If that's what stopping you, don't let people's judgement bring you down. If you legit don't like them however, it's understandable.

I kinda figured but wanted to make sure in case it wasn't, cause... yeah, why not :P

I have a worgen, two pandas and a Draenei. Call me whatever you want, I don't give a poop
Daytime bump talking point!
Presuming the Vulpera can use SOME kind of magic, why are they all in hiding?

Perhaps!
I do think it's a fair question though. Nowhere in Vol'dun do we see a Vulpera using any kind of magic, which strikes me as rather strange for a race aspiring to the character selection screen. We have some datamined hints that they'll be learning shamanism but that would still only put their available classes at a paltry four selections. If they plan to add some kind of cloth class (or dare I dream, paladins) they'll need to throw in a little lore to support it.
Is there a reason vulpera practicing arcane, light or fel magic might want to be even more reclusive than regular vulpera?
And because I feel like it, I'ma link this thing I drew a while back:

Maybe it is Taboo in their society and once they see the others on Azeroth utilizing the magic, it will become acceptable and by the time they become an Allied Race, we'd have those options open to us.

This is definitely a thing I could see for Warlocks, although not impossible for priests/mages too.
It would be an interesting cultural facet if Arcane magic were looked down on
It would be even more interesting if LIGHT magic were looked down on.
I dont really see Vulpera turning down the chance to utilize a skill for survival. I guess it depends.
There are probably some mystics in their ranks.
Playable or not (probably playable though), I think their implementation would 'broaden the field' in terms of uniqueness among allied races in the future and hopefully inspire the art team to not limit themselves to just dull, differently proportioned humans.
As for my opinion on which side they belong on, definitely Alliance though neutral could also work.
If Vulpera do end up on the Horde, then the devs obviously know next to nothing of the "faction identity" in WoW which they've kept spouting about as of lately. And honestly, they'd be doing the art team a disservice by wasting their effort on the race by giving it to the player demographic which has no interest in it (i.e. the Horde) as opposed to the Alliance who both us and the devs know would appreciate it far more.

So cute, must have!
No possible way. Besides, if you dont think they belong on the horde you either dont understand them or you dont understand the horde.
They are underdogs fighting for survival against a superior enemy. They are survivalists, vicious, cunning and constantly underestimated. They fit in perfect.
Besides that its the horde they are working with, not the alliance

Only the Horde works with them and they're hostile against any Alliance players. Instead, it looks like we'll be getting the Sethrak, which in my opinion, I like far more, but I still like the Vulpera a lot. I really wanted these guys when I first saw them.
