As far as I know, if you do the quest with any race other than ones that existed at the start of pandaria, you get kind of a generic filler thing that isn’t race specific
Burrow: You dig underground becoming untargetable but you cannot attack or move or use abilities. 10 second duration. 1.5 min cooldown.
Swiping Fox: You pickpocket the target. (Same loot table as rogues but don’t need stealth, and can be used in combat). 1 min cooldown.
Survivalist: You take 50% reduced damage from environmental hazards. 2% less damage from AOE effects.
Ah, that would make some sense from a development point-of-view to save some time. Oh well, thought it was worth a try. ^^;
Nice ideas! Only thing is that burrow sounds op
As long as it doesn’t negate AOE spells completely, I’d say it’s not a terribly imbalanced ability for PvE. As for PvP it… would definitely be a game changer.
Hey, Eevee … weird thought. I realize that there is no guarantee that there will be one AR per Core Race (at least in regards to their recruiter on the Horde); however IF that continues to be the case … its gonna be Gobs that recruit the Vulps. WIth the Bilgewater being under its current leadership, I cannot fathom a means in which the Goblins under Wix would be enticing to the little foxes.
So … (and this may be just my blind hopes for my favorite PC race), what if it turns out that the Rustbolt Resistance rep is needed for the Vulpera for the Horde (as well as the Junkers for the Alliance)? Rather than us gaining rep with a faction of people we’re already pals with, the Horde instead needs to garner rep with a potential replacement for Wix and his organization?
I dunno … its a crack idea, but the Vulpera (a recently ex-slave race) joining under a Gob who’s greatest legacy is trying to enslave his own people on TWO exploding volcanoes seems weird to me. Gazlowe in contrast is teased to have gotten more involved in Goblin politics recently; has thrown all neutrality out the window as of late; and he IS someone who might be able to recruit the Vulpera. And looky, he happens to be the Goblin we’re working directly with in Mechagon.
I suppose it depends how much the Vulpera actually care about what happens to other people. The orcs escaped internment, but are known slavers; the Forsaken earned their freedom from the Lich King, but are also slavers, and the goblins despite very nearly being slaves also tend to enslave other sentient beings.
Cognitive dissonance in regards to slavery is pretty par the course for the Horde, and maybe the Vulpera don’t care about the slaving habits of others as long as it’s not them in chains.
Eh? It’s a self stun then makes you immune to damage. Although maybe 10 sec is too long I guess.
Wix: “Horde saved your bacon, you owe us one!”
Foxes: “Ok…”
Wix: “Awesome unpaid labour!”
Foxes: “What?”
Wix: “What?”
Not the duration but the cool down. 1:30 seems a little short for invincible button. That’s like a mage ice block, and I think that has a longer cool down. I think it should allow you to move with a 3 minute cooldown, instant cast and a 3 second burrow. Enough to avoid attacks and can’t be used too often
That sounds about right.
What are you, a dev? You act like you are sitting in the hot seat at Blizz HQ. As if you know what they have worked on and what it’s gonna take to roll out.
Anyone can deduce these answers by putting together the available information to come to a natural conclusion.
But you’re a tidesage, why didn’t you ask the ocean for answers?
You mean anyone can speculate and pretend they know what’s up
You’re a multiple too? That’s neat.
Yup you found out my secret. <3
Even if they’re going for a 1:1 race ratio, it doesn’t necessarily mean the race whose rig is borrowed has to be the recruiter. After all, Turalyon is who initiated the recruitment for Light Goats even though Velen is sitting in the embassy too.
As I said upstream (or maybe another topic?), it would probably make more sense if Talanji or Rakera setup the recruitment quest.
Has to be someone in the emissary. Rakera isn’t. But she could be in the scenario. Talanji also isn’t there. But again could be in the Scenario. Your contenders for possible recruiters are: Ji, Nathanos, and Gallywix. Out of those Gallywix seems most likely.
All of the NPC in the room are flagged with space for recruitment scenario. Most are just blank atm.
I still want Cromush to be involved in the recruitment scenario.
Involved in their recruitment scenario, perhaps? But it would be decidedly weird to have a newcomer to the Horde recruit for the Horde (when Talaanji doesn’t even seem to have a firm grasp on what the Horde is as a whole just yet).
Not to mention, while the Alliance ARs have largely been recruited by leaders of each group simply bringing their faction into the Alliance officially (Alleria, Turalyon, Jaina, Moira) … the Horde ARs have all thus far been actually recruited by Horde reps (Baine, Liadrin, Eitrigg, Rokhan) and it would be sort of strange to have the Vulpera break the mold.
Though … to be fair, I suppose a lot of the issues with Wix could simply be alleviated by him outsourcing the fox’s recruitment to someone more capable; like he always tries to do. Gazlowe (based off his leadership style) absolutely could bring the Vulpera in to the Horde IMO; I suppose he doesn’t really need to be the leader of the whole race to just be their recruiter (though, that doesn’t stop me from hoping the Bilgewater finally gets a change in leadership).
