They will need a female one
There already is one, the Avatar of Sethraliss in the dungeon is female I am fairly sure. She certainly looks and sounds feminine.

How goes the battle Eevee?
Good! I hardly ever get naysayers raining on the thread anymore. Just waiting for the next big news. Fingers crossed for a /dance
I can't allow myself to get my hopes up. Sounded like we're really not going to get anymore allied races this expansion, but maybe I misunderstood the q&a.

Where did you get that idea from? Everything I've been hearing from them on the matter is like a broken record, "This new feature opens up many possibilities...there will be more Allied Races in the future...etc etc."
I'd wager we won't get the Vulpera until the middle or even the end of the expansion, but they
are coming.

I haven't done any of the questing and all of that, but yeah this. I've heard the pronoun is "her" and she looks slightly different too.

If they are a race, I'm finally going to play this game.
Nope I hope I never see them as an allied race.
Any particular qualm or reasoning to this you would like to expand upon?
Because nothing in the story of Vol'dun gives any indications of Vulpera joining or being motived to join any faction besides their own coalition of Vulpera/Sethrek combined faction.
The same story of Arrakoa in WoD gives that race no grounds for becoming an allied race either since both cursed and "regular" Arrakoa ended up forming a new faction of "The order of the Awakened" to work together for the betterment of their race/story.

Only the Horde directly works with the Vulpera throughout the Vol'dun story. Also, are you perhaps forgetting about the Highmountain, Nightborne, or Lightforged? None of those three had any motivating factor to join either side, but they did. Same can go for Arakkoa with allied races. Just because they had no original reason to join doesn't mean they can't now.

If the super creepy infant people that are gnomes being playable didn't drive you away, then cute fox people certainly won't.

I admit there is something just a little bit off about gnomes to me, but I learned to tune it out a long time ago.
I do like their voice acting though

Not really the same story comparison that the you made with HM, NB or LF, so your counter argument holds no merit. In fact, the Alpha for legion had Mayla greeted the main leaders of the Tauren, Taunka tribe to consider joining together against the Burning Legion.
True the same COULD go for the Arakkoa but honestly that would be bad story writing for an allied race. Especially after going through their story in Spires to Tanaan, where they finally decided to take responsibility and move on from past leaderships and forged new ones.
The Alliance ALSO worked with the Draenei in WoD and look what happened to them in BfA, bad guys.
Why can't people recognize that story narrative and just acknowledge some races e.g. Vulpera, Sethrek and Arrakoa are better off coming together than fighting each other in faction battles.

Alright, then what's the point of adding in the allied race system if we're only meant to look at new races from a distance?
Story narratives have to be balanced with gameplay concerns. You guys both have good points.
At the end of the day, allied races are about making lots of new races available. And unfortunately for their lore, that means joining either the alliance or horde to participate in the perpetual faction weeing contest. So yes, it's probably better to stay their own friendly faction. But that's not as important as fun PvP fox rogues.
That said, I do think the arralkoa and literally every other race in the game is just as valid a choice for the same reason, as long as their popularity outweighs the lorerofl that explains them picking sides.

That's Blizzards problem, not mine. I'm all for new races, as long as they make sense and not for fun or cute reasons.

In fact, not even popularity is a deciding factor! Just look at the voidelves!
They've never been in the game before, to be popular enough to be required!
And they are present today!
If voidelves can, why not Arakkoas/ Vulperas / sethraks / ogre/ vampire elves who have already shown to have a strong appeal to players, even over other breeds with more time away from home?
Well, I say vulperas would be very welcome to the game! Ogre would also be something very good for the horde! I would not play with an ogre, but many people in the horde would love to have one!
as long as they make sense and not for fun or cute reasons.
I wasn't aware video games weren't supposed to be fun.
