I’m not sure why Sethrak would be on Alliance side, but I’d be down for seeing both them and Vulpera in the game.
I would definitely be making a rogue on a Vulpera.

I’ve got the names Vaporeon and Braixen reserved for a Resto Shaman and Fire Mage respectively. crosses fingers they actually get those classes
Love your positivity Eevee, Keep it up!
I tried to think of some clever way to respond but I couldn’t think of anything so here’s a picture of a duck.
Thanks!
If my theory that junkgnomes were pushed back for Kul Tirans is correct, they may want to skip (or greatly speed up) the get-to-know-them part because they’ve been collecting dust so long. Likewise, if they were supposed to play a part in the frozen Mekkatorque side-plot, they may not want to drag that out any longer.
If the junkgomes are fast tracked, it could mean getting Vulpera sooner than we may have otherwise as well.
Junker Gnomes sound pretty lame, how would you even see most of their mechanical parts with a set of gear on?
I would never play a Sethrak but I think more people would enjoy them for the Alliance.
The same could be said for most races aside from Tauren and Forsaken once armor gets involved.
Yeah but Junker Gnomes would look like literally the same race with armor on, while being on the same faction. Although I see where you’re coming from.
nods
I definitely see where you’re coming from too, we already have that issue as it is with Tauren/Highmountain and Draenei/Lightgothed though.
Autocorrect for once you do not disappoint.
These two were pretty disappointing allied races honestly. They could have done Krokul, and some other more unique type of Tauren such as Yaungol.
True, but they were fresher on everyone’s mind being from the last expansion. Doesn’t me we can’t have those others later though :3
I’m still confused why so many people are leaning towards Sethrak being Alliance because aside from Vorrik initially being aided by the Alliance and aiding them in return, they’re mainly allied with the Horde. And there’s no bad blood between the Devoted and the Vulpera; the Vulpera are allied with the Devoted themselves. It’s only the Faithless that they have a problem with because the Faithless are the ones doing bad things.
Of course I’m not sure I can see the Sethrak siding with Alliance either since they had worked together as well, but then again Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren were aided by both sides as well.
I guess time will tell.
You have to be kinda blind to mistake a highmountain for a regular tauren.
At least the males, the females have a tiny horn option that I could see it.
The sethrak for alliance thing mostly boils down to “nothing else fits”. The alliance has to be getting something next and prior to blizzcon revealing the existence of mechagnomes there was really nothing else on the table. Also, it’s worth mentioning that during the voldun incursion, the alliance does not have any conflict with the devoted. Vorrik is also notably does not give any response to rakastan’s death. This is obviously not evidence of them being friendly with the alliance, but it does leave the door open.
As for why they might have a falling out with the horde, I can at least suggest how I would write it. I think it would be an interesting narrative if some of the Vulpera (Nisha) intentionally sabotaged relations with the devoted because they couldn’t let go of old hatreds, possibly spurred on by some Vorrik being unsympathetic of the Vulpera’s previous suffering. Nisha may make efforts to cause conflict between Vorrik and the horde with the intent to make the horde reject or even wage war against the devoted, and unintentionally push them directly into the arms of the alliance. I think this would add a necessary dark side to the Vulpera and help players who see them as disney knockoffs take them more seriously too.
Thats usually the best case Scenario for the Sethrak being pushed to the Alliance, the second case seems to be related to Sylvanas since Sethrak are still somewhat divided and small compared to the ZTrolls (who are allied to the Horde not true subfactions like all other factions are atm) so she’ll push them around more and throw weight around to force them to listen to her Horde and Vorrik will probably resist her since she is similar to Korthek in terms of tyranny and due to the past problems the Faithless caused we can assume the Vulpera wont’ be as friendly unless we ignore all history of psychological research and knowledge in reality and that’ll push them towards the Alliance who still has a large base in Vol’dun since the Assault doesn’t destroy it.
I do want to bring up there is a Sethrak discussion thread so use that for them, try to keep it as Vulpera in this one.
I really hope the unlock quest for Vulpera includes going on a violent and bloody raid with Nisha.
"That reminds me…a sethrak also poked me once. ONCE."
I have never been brave enough to try to annoy Nisha. Is that really a thing she says?
Me neither, I read it on her wowpedia page
