Vulpera Discussion Megathread (Part 1)

I’m not gonna continue that argument with him, it’s pointless and I’ll just say I disagree especially since nowhere is it stated. I don’t argue with people that stick to false information and try to shoot people down with said false information on an entirely unrelated thread.

Anyway. I still wish we had a chance for Vulpera druids but thus far there’s been no indication :stuck_out_tongue: but I’ll likely roll a monk since my gameplan works with that class. I hope we know more about new ARs soon. Come on Vulpera 8.2!

I have this vision.

My character is walking along the road when all of a sudden there is this creature whoosh, whoosh, whooshing around me. ( think Demon Hunter Blade dance spell) Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. Then, in slow, slow motion, it does a 360 degree spin, and as it’s face is passing mine, up close and personal like, with its tail horizontal across its face, hiding its lower facial features, I see its eyes revealed above the tail. Eyes twinkling with the mischevious, humorish, vixenly, playfulness, and intoxicating glint of death. Unmistakeable, agonizing deliverer of death.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, it disappears into landscape.

I look down. My gear is sliced and in tatters. They are in ruined, pockets emptied. I realize I was left alive so I may tell my tale. I was spared by this creature with the delicate but scarred face. Those eyes. Those eyes. This was the Vulpera I had heard whispers of.

tldr: Vulpera. Yeah baby!

They still dont have these? Dang.

So something I just noticed that I think is pretty telling. When you do world quests, Vorrik always talks about how your help will push back “The faithless”

Kiro on the other hand is far less specific and talks about fighting “The sethrak”

I think Vorrik might be on thinner ice than he thinks.

Vorrik and his followers are not to blame for what Korthek and his Faithless have done over the years, to the vulperas!
Repairing the damage done to the vulperas will take time and will require the patience of the vulperas!

Maybe Nisha and his people have neither the patience nor the time available for compensation from the Sethraks!

I think what Eevee is trying to convey is that, even though the Sethrak (Vorrik) aided with the hero and Vulpera to slay Korthek. The crimes of his people, faithless or not, does not make the devoted exempt from the hatred the Vulpera have towards their kind.

Which I’ve stated time and time again in arguments. ^^; This kind of hatred might push the Sethrak away from the horde with such words of scorn from Nisha.

Yes! I’ve seen a similar situation involving Tyrande and the Nightborne!:smirk:

I’m not suggesting Vorrik is a bad guy or that the Vulpera would be right to turn against him, I’m only suggesting that if Blizzard wanted to write a narrative to push the devoted away from the horde, a narrative of the vulpera being unable to disassociate the devoted from the faithless would be effective, interesting, and already has some subtle groundwork laid.

Yes! I am understand!

I always knew Nisha was gonna be trouble, what I was surprised to notice was this specific but consistent phrasing from the much more level-headed Kiro

Nisha for Warchief. Not the leader the people wanted, but the one that they deserved.

I want Nisha for warchief

yea, I’ve used this exact same thing as an example as well. Honestly, with how the story is in BFA right now, there are many methods to which could be used to drive the Sethrak one way or the other.

I fully support this.

Another thing to consider, is that Vorrik and his followers are a very small group compared to the Faithless empire aka Thalyssra and the Nightfallen vs Elisande’s Nightborne government.

Already the first step to playable status!

If/when vulpera and sethrak are released, I just want a Vol’dun community to form from players if both races :). I for one plan on playing both. We need to have desert cookouts, y’all.

I am not bringing my Vulpera to any cookout hosted by sethrak! I’ve heard the rumours…

yea, you might end up finding out you’re eating your own brother!

wouldn’t that be horrific!? D:

I kid, I kid…I’d be a friendly sethrak :B I only go after a common enemy

I even imagine the scene!
At a dinner party, sethraks serving members of the alliance, when some paladin, casually, asks Vorrik how this Nisha!
And the sethrak replies: ‘Delicious’!
