No you are right there i was there for both Vol’dun Assaults and this changed for some unknown reason.
I’d like to add that the pretty pearls and shimmering moon-like jewelry adorning the vulpine familiar makes me think of Elune or at least a connection to Elune in some way. Perhaps the Vulpine Familiar is a fox-like deity - worshiped or simply an animal held in high regard by the original Vulpera from wherever they are originally from. Or maybe the Vulpine Familiar is simply a respected inhabitant living alongside the Vulpera on their original ancestral home - whether that be Azeroth or elsewhere. Maybe the familiars are traveling through the great dark beyond in search of the long lost Vulpera cousins, to help reunite them with their ancestors. And if so, well, they found Azeroth, and it’s champions! Hmm…
I will race change at least one of each class, male and female, when Vulpera become a playable race. Would do a few Sethrak too.
Here, Blizz I’ll even help you out with the Vulpera list of playable classes:
Hunter
Mage
Monk
Rogue
Shaman
Warlock
Warrior
Im generally curious to why Warlock mate? we going the Witch Doctor/Shadow Hunter route that Darkspear Trolls use or ???
You forgot Paladin and Druid.
…Yeah, I guess that’s a bit of a stretch. One can dream though right? xD
Exploring the history of the Vulpera we meet in Vol’dun is paramount and vital to learning about their ancestry, culture, homeland and origination. As a story-lover I am eager to discover their original home, whether that be on Azeroth in a thick forest, or elsewhere such as where the Vulpine Familiar is from (possible connection to Elune?)
I would like to believe that we are in store for a grand story including the reunion of the current Vulpera who we meet in Vol’dun and their original long lost brethren - who may be living on another part of Azeroth unknown, hidden or somewhere else altogether. This would be a fantastic opportunity for Blizzard to weave a strong tale involving our newly met friends, explore their curious culture and find out how they came to to be separated from the rest of their race - whether that be through traveling, escaping, moving, or something else. We get a glimpse of who the Vulpera are, but we don’t know truly how they lived or where they lived before, what their original culture was like - and sadly (and with unique and hopeful opportunity from Blizzard storytellers to explore this) neither do the Vulpera of Vol’dun. It’s a storytelling dream and I am so stoked to be part of uncovering where this massive tale will take us.
I’d like to know more about the Vulpera, new and old, how the ones we meet came to be where they are now, where they are originally from and what impact their separation had and has. I think we’re in store for a treat! I’d like to explore their culture, ways, histories and story before slapping classes, jobs and roles onto them. Let’s learn more about the Vulpera, new and and old, so we can see what roles befit them. Thank you!
I like your list and hope it happens.
I wonder how much time we’ll have to wait untill our furry friends will be able to join the party.
They seem pretty much confirmed at this point, but the lack of information makes me wonder how much we’ll have to wait.
Probably the end of the expac after things are solved.
An important unraveling that helped solidify the Nightborn as not only a legitimate people native to Azeroth, but also helped to become members of the Horde, is the care and devotion that was given to them, their story, their history, as well as assisting them in their time of need. This can be said for the Highmountain as well, and the Draenor Orcs, and eventually the same can be said for the Zandalari Trolls.
Before the Vulpera become members of the Horde and playable by us, I believe it holds true that their story should be more intimately explored, and we Horde should be involved with uncovering where it is they hail from, and what happened. Becoming closer with them over time and strengthening our bonds will do well and go far that much more, story-wise. Establishing a bond with them through a shared experience, as we are with the Zandalari Trolls and earlier the Nightborn, will pave the way for their entrance into the Horde and eventually as playable characters. I believe anyone joining one of our beloved factions should have the weight, history and connection with the faction and/or it’s members, so that their inclusion comes from a place of meaning, purpose and intent. At this time I don’t feel like we’ve had enough interaction and there is room for bonding through grand story of shared experience in the Horde helping to reunite them with their ancestors. Then I think it would make sense for them to become part of the Horde. Thank you for reading! Be quick, be clever! Peace all!
I want to play as a fox already so I can have a fox as a hunter pet and a fox as a battle pet and be a fox GOD.
Best bet is we’ll get more info when the next raid is released and the Kul’Tiran and Zandalari are released. The hype will be over once the current expected AR are out, so then it’s time to build the hype for the new ones! That’s my opinion though, from a business standpoint that’s how they’d likely do it.
I agree. If Vulpera and Sethrak do get tapped as player races I could easily see them being one of the big draws of 9.0. They’re so unique and different from other ARs, that they are almost totally new player races, more akin to the Goblin/Worgen frame they loosely started from.
While riding a fox mount. You can’t forget that!
T&E made a nice video today that makes me think (unfortunately) Vulpera won’t come til 9.0. I recommend it as a watch. (Vulpera are mentioned at 12:40 )
I’d welcome a tinker class we are due a new hero class and Goblins, gnomes can really use the attention plus it’s a better jump into a hero class that’s for everyone than exclusive to elves.
it would be good for gnomes to receive a legitimate care and not just 5 minutes in the spotlight!
An exclusive class for them and goblins, would give a very welcome appreciation!
Right? maybe a class exclusive to Gnomes and Goblins you might see more folks willing to play Gnomes if the class is made right and fun to play.
Honestly if Tinker was a class with a restricted race Gnomes/Goblins perfect for it and i would play one no matter what, the appeal of a Healer not using Magic is heavily appealing to me, plus i love the Mechanist in FF14.
