Vulpera Discussion Megathread (Part 1)

People keep telling me that, but at this point I think everyone is just lying to me. Its definitely not in that stupid world quest chest no matter how many times I do it

I haven’t gotten crap out’ta that box either. Maybe now at 120 I can plow through stupidly quick with a better score.

I’ve always been iffy on whether I was going to ride a fox mount on my Vulpera because of the weird overtone but since I must play as a Vulpera and I also must use this mount, I’m going to have to find some way to live with it

Bought the flying fox last night. Perfect mount for this Nightborne.

I can personally vouch for it coming from the withered army chest. Took me a year and a half to get, but that’s where it dropped.

Same while it didn’t take me as long it did drop from there.

I recall having a screaming fit when I got the party invitation to drop for the original fox mount

I’ve got an idea.

If Blizzard can’t give us playable Vulpera, at least make an engineering schematic for a gun that shoots clones of Nisha who go into whirlwind attacks when she lands, complete with zippy one-liners. ā€œEvery day with a blade in your hands is a good day!ā€

Or both… I’d take both, honestly.

Just get yourself Meerah’s jukebox. It’s the best thing added to the game since the toy train set.

Funny, I was rather annoyed. I didn’t realize the party invitation would get me a cute fox mount. Instead I figured it was just Suramar quest gating, and boy was I surprised when I found out.

Honestly I am very excited for the Vulpera, but Blizzard hasn’t said anything and the suspense is killing me.

I think we’ll find out more once 8.1.5 hits and the Zand/Kul races are in the game. They won’t need to build hype for those two any more so they could start building up more hype then for the next two races~

Foxes are popular and much loved, Blizzard!
If the mounts that are based on them arouse such interest, imagine a race?
Make Blizzard! I know what you want!

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Vulpera since before Battle for Azeroth came out, thinking about when we discover the home-place of the Vulpera, it might be a thick forest or heavily wooded realm with tall trees, burrows and have a very peaceful, naturey atmosphere. I am looking forward to exploring where the original ancestors of the current Vulpera we meet in Vol’dun, live.

I think that the Vol’dun remnants of the original Vulpera will be reunited with their kin someday - and we will not only travel there ourselves, but we’d be instrumental in assisting with their reunion, as well as witness their ancestors welcoming them home.

After traveling and being gone/separated from their kin for so long, the current Vulpera cannot remember where they are from (except for a few old spoken stories in their current culture). I am hoping we will get to see this play out, and be part of their reuniting.

The current generation of known Vulpera who we meet and befriend do not really remember where they are originally from.

On a side note, I have also thought up unmet races inhabiting near where they were from. There would be a Celtic-themed, white stag race, draped in deep green robes with ornate golden trim, and adorning their antlers are stone and wooden runes and baubles dangling from shimmering string, who lives in the snowy woods. A neighboring clan of dwarves - woodland cousins to the main three clans and similar or even connected to the wildhammers in their druidic ways. Rustic and earthy in their ways and living in clover-topped small homes. I would love to write some of these races and stories for Blizzard!

Additionally, a thought I have now is, I am wondering if the Vulpera are from somewhere else altogether, with the fox-like mount arriving to Azeroth, seeking out Azeroth’s champions for companionship and adventure. Maybe it’s a creature that lives or lived where the Vulpera are originally from. Maybe they are form Elune or connected to Elune in some way. Maybe the Vulpera in Vol’dun can’t remember where they are from because it’s not from Azeroth - and maybe the Vulpine Familiar is a link to where they are from, what they worshiped, a creature native to their home or perhaps it’s seeking to find them to reunite them with their kin on Elune, or elsewhere! Just fun thoughts!

Well finally got an invasion on vol’dun.
yea there’s a snowball’s chance vulpera would ever go alliance. ._.
Anyone know where I can start complaining that the faction swap service item needs to be changed so I’m not forced to race change when I do it?

interesting to note that some of the vulpera that were rated as ā€˜hostile but un-fightable’ have been swapped to friendly, and now speak when you click on them as alliance. I may be mistaken but I believe the slaves were originally rated as hostile’, but now are rated as friendly. Not really sure what that means but it’s interesting to note at least.
