I had a feeling that the Alliance's attack on Dazar'alor wasn't going to sit very well with the vulpera.
I know vulpira are Volduni rep, but what will Sethrek rep be? Unless they're going to Horde and Volduni is a two for one allied race which seems highly unlikely. Otherwise, the moment they unlock we have to grind some new rep from zero... Ugh.

This would make no sense and would only serve to anger the playerbase. If they do add sethrak for the Alliance they'd most likely tie it to an existing reputation if the same is going to happen for the vulpera using voldunai rep.
While vulpera already have a rep tied to them, I'm at a loss to say what rep the sneks would go on unless they decided to double up on 7th Legion as the others don't fit. I'm fine with the Alliance side of things have two AR's attached to a single rep if that's just how things have to work out though I can understand if this might have a few people up in arms...but it's either they do something like that or create an entire new snek rep which puts Alliance players at a disadvantage that Horde players wouldn't be at for their allied race.
This is assuming mechagnomes aren't the paired race for allied races, if they are indeed an allied race and not a customization (which I'm doubtful of.)

Eh, I don't foresee it being that big a deal. Hypothetically, there would be lead-up and story to the time they were actually released to be playable, so the rep would just be what we did in between. Kind of like the lightforged.
While I see what you mean with them already being ingame, the Broken Shore also existed ingame before we had a rep with it because there just wasn't much to do there.
Maybe the rep would be more tied to the story of Vol'dun itself but in that window of time. I guess they could even mirror that rep on the horde side if they wanted to.
Is it impossible the story leads to one of the existing alliance reps just gets applied to the Sethrak in some way?
It's also possible the 8.2 races just... won't be rep gated. They might have given up on that idea since it was uhh... not their most popular decision.

I will play way more AFTER getting a vulpera.
Bliz did say in an interview that not all the allied races would be behind a rep grind, but some may be story linked. We haven't seen it yet, but that could be the case with both Vulpera and Sethrak.
I already got exalted with volduni so I'm ready to go

Now that you mention it I remember them saying that. If they were open to it back then I'm pretty sure the complaints about rep grinds would have solidified that

I’m excited to see what they have in store. I hope they reveal their racials and class options officially. My gut tells me to basically expect Vulpera at this point.

Alliance are 100% getting sethrak, I'm just not sure if it's 8.2 or 8.3. However, if Sethrak are not 8.2 I have no solid theory what race is planned instead
Now that I think about it, if it's mechagnomes tied with vulpira then the mechagnomes suffer the same issue with Sethrek and where their rep is tied to.
