The raid wonât be until jan next year.
Itâll be here late this month.

The quote from VulperaCaravan on Twitter said the patch itself next year. But I do hope you are correct and this is some misunderstanding. Iâve noticed the interview in question hasnât shown up on Wowhead or MMO-C, so maybe itâs not a big site.
That would be artifically delaying a patch for no reason. The âstill raiding current raidâ makes no sense as this is the schedule of patches this entire expansion. Theyâd be getting the same time in palace as they got in previous raids. Iâd be really, really disappointed in blizzard if they decide to artificially delay this Patch. I donât have much to do on WoW outside of the anniversary event until Vulpera. Some things I can do but I am waiting for Vulpera to do. Playable Vulpera is also $50 from me for 2 race changes. Itâs quite disrespectful to their playerbase to artificially delay a patch. If the patch wasnât until Jan thatâd make it feb for the raid and thatâd be an insanely long time in Palace. Twice as long as usual. And itâs not even the final raid of the expansion. Thatâs nonsensical.
Edit:
" > Hazzikostas: We havenât yet decided on that, as we first want to make sure that all of the content works as we intend. We also donât want to release the patch too early because there are enough players that have yet to find their way into the Eternal Palace. What I can say is that the update wonât see release within the next couple weeks.
buffed: ⌠perhaps not even within the remaining year?
Hazzikostas: Thatâs quite possible. A release early next year sound much more realistic."
Translated from another language for one. For two too me reading that, it sounds like heâs talking about the raid. Starts out about the patch. Then moves to Eternal palace and says quite possibly early next year. Which makes perfect sense for the raid. Absolutely no sense for the patch.
Thereâs a blue post about it now. And it says the same thing. No 8.3 until next year.
Itâs a shame but itâs pretty much expected. Likely, 8.3 is going to be used to keep us busy until Shadowlands comes out, assuming there is no 8.3.5 patch in the meantime.
At least, in theory, it means that they have more time to work on and fine-tune Vulpera, so I can be patient since, at the very least, we have confirmation that theyâre playable.
If 8.3 is not launching until January, there will not likely be an 8.3.5. Legionâs last patch went live in January. I just wish they had chosen to do this like 8.1 last year, patch in December - raid unlock in January. Iâm just gonna wait until the PTR wipe (which is hopefully still gonna happen this week), so I can just level and play on PTR until then - I guess.
Been waiting 2 years already. Artificial patch delay leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Seems incredibly odd not to have an 8.3.5. Has there ever before been a raid patch as the last patch before a pre-patch?
Just 26474 rep to go! Thank god for this anniversary event.
Disappointed that theyâre delaying it until after the holidays. Was hoping that Iâd be able to enjoy playing my vulpera during the long weekends I get for Xmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years.
Looks like blizzard decides to hate us instead.
Blizzard once a company founded on love and passion. Now fueled by hatred and spite.
Looking at the patch history now, yeah, looks like a major patch has never been the final patch of an expansion. But there have been a number of firsts with BfA, so. And I donât see how it is avoidable, if they are gonna wait until January (at the earliest) for 8.3. That means the raid in February? If we are gonna get Shadowlands around the same time of year, the Alpha will have started around then. And another couple months for an 8.3.5 would probably overlap Beta.
Oh my god, the drama. Please tell me youâre being sarcastic. This is just too ridiculous to be real.
Figures the one time we want a patch rushed out they take their sweet time to make it perfect.
It wouldnât even be rushing it to release it in December or even November. Heh. 8.2 was only on PTR for two months and that had a lot more content. This will have been on PTR for three months, if released in January. And a friend was looking at the numbers, the gap from 8.2 to 8.3 will be the longest in recent years - with 8.3 releasing in January. 8.1 to 8.2 was shorter and it had another small raid in the middle!
Edit P.S.: Just thought about it - the gap between 7.3.5, the last patch of Legion and the BfA pre-patch was less time than the gap between 8.2 and 8.3. Wow.
PTR update tomorrow! Show me vulpera updates!
As early as tomorrow, they said, provided our luck holds up⌠and today is not a good sign of that. Heh.
Character wipe tomorrow. Most likely significant update. At least theres the 15th anniversary stuff. But wonât take me 2 months to burn out of that.
To maintain proper expectations, what was said in the warning is that the wipe could be as early as November 6th. Itâs possible it could be later. And, given that we have not had any blue posts about it this week, I think thatâs a real possibility. But, letâs hope for the best. I want it out of the way, so I can make a new Vulpera to play for the next few months.
I just wanna be Vulpera⌠Is that too much to ask? Already waited over 2 years⌠another 2 months feels lame.
I completely sympathize. This has been something very important to me over the past couple years, as well. I havenât been in a good mood all day because of this unfortunate news. But Iâm trying my best to do what I can with whatâs available. And, I guess, thatâs gonna mean some PTR time over the coming weeks (as well as picking up some other games, again)
