How come Vulpera only learns one language, Orcish? I saw a group of Forsaken RPing and they speak in their language…

Am I missing something?

There’s a vulpera language as well. Just select it and talk.

There’s a bug with it in that your messages aren’t preceded by “[Vulpera]”, but the language works. Only other vulpera can understand you.

What I meant is, how come Vulpera can’t understand Forsaken? Thalassian? Whatever Nightborne speaks [Iforgotwhatitscalled].

Because that’s how it works for every race.
Mages can learn a book that allows them to understand their allies’ languages. But, last I checked it out, it was not including allied race languages.

There’s some races that speak the same language and can understand each other.

Both bronzebeard dwarves and dark iron dwarves speak dwarven.
Both darkspear trolls and zandalari speak zandali.
Both tauren and highmountain speak taur-ahe.
Draenei and Lightforged speak draenei.

There’s also some special cases that allow cross-faction comunication:
The language of the pandaren.
Both blood elves and void elves speak thalassian.
And both blood and night elf Demon Hunters can speak demonic as an additional language.

Finally, some races have only the main faction language: humans/kultirans speak only Common, and Orcs/Mag’har speak only orcish.

There is longer than usual maintenance tomorrow, which I imagine is for patching in a bunch of bug fixes. Maybe that’ll be one of the things that gets fixed.
