I do find it sad how Undead used to be one of the more popular races on the Horde but how they’ve fallen in popularity because how terrible there lore has been.
Undead used to be the most popular Horde race pre blood elves and then were a solid#2 for years(trolls were least played in vanilla)

You’re not wrong. There’s definitely a population of actual furries RPing as vulpera.
But, there is also the fact that their lore is so lacking, it’s a good clean slate to RP with. Nobody is going to pick your backstory apart for not being “lore abiding”
Where are you getting this data from? Data for Azeroth still shows Vulpera 12th most popular race overall, and 7th among just Horde races. Seems like Vulpera propaganda to me.
How do you know that it was the lore that made people stop playing and not something else?
Of the six or seven million people who play this game, we only hear from maybe tens of thousands on anything. That means that we never hear from about six or seven million of the six or seven million who play this game.
Does that mean we should have nothing because relatively no one asks for anything?
