Vulpera acquiring heritage armor question

Got flying in BFA 8.3 couple days ago and everything else seems up to date (neck/cloak/essences etc.).

I have time to do side stuff now in bfa (island expedition dubloons, mounts, allied races, pvp, checking out the other faction cities etc). Was thinking about vulpera just because they’re different from everything else in the game.

Looking at the heritage armor set and was wondering:

  • Does anyone regret grinding for the the set?
  • If you have it, was it worth the grind?
  • When they say “without using any boost” does that mean no heirlooms? Just vanilla/old school grinding, questing and dungeons to 110?

" In order to unlock the Heritage Set for your Vulpera, you must level a character from 20 all the way to 110 without using any boosts in Patch 8.3."

  • sorry can’t post links but the quote is from icey-veins website.

If anyone else has any tips/advice I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Without boost refers to without paying for an insta 110. Heirlooms are perfectly acceptable.

Just fact checking. Can you link a post or where you got the info that heirlooms are ok?

i’m starting from level 58, which is like 2 hours saved from starting from level 20

Well from personal experience I know it works (did Nightborne) and here is a link that would fact check it.

I’ve read some people chose DK to make the grind for the heritage armor easier, but I already have a DK. Thanks for the tip though.

Nope the Vulpera armor is the only heritage armor I went out to get and I love using it.

For me it was as it finally gave me a reason to level a Warrior as I have been putting it off for so long. I don’t regret it one bit.

This just means you can’t use anything that would help you skip the leveling process like buying a boost. You can use heirlooms as I used them while leveling my Warrior.

It was totally worth the grind and I am using the heritage armor on most of my countless (hehe) Vulpera.

I just quested on this character in almost full heirlooms to 110 for the heritage armor. I did consider doing it as MW monk, spamming dungeons, before I learned I could get it as DK.

i cant imagine a vulpera in anything but heritage armor tbh

I plan on leveling my V rogue for the heritage armor eventually. I am slow going though, leveling other alts first, like my mechagnome hunter. I’ll get there.
I plan on leveling all of my alts for their various heritage armors though, although I currently do not have regular gnomes, goblins or HM tauren, so probably never them.

Boosts are fine. By “boosts” it means paid services. So long as the character was freshly made, and leveled from 20 onward without the use of a paid service, the character will earn heritage.

I believe you can get the armor if you race change but must wait until 120 and be exalted with the proper faction.

That’s only for core races.

This is the first allied race I leveled for their heritage armor. There are others I like but I really dislike leveling so I’ve passed on them for now but I decided to just deal with it for vulpera.

This is the character I used to unlock it and it went by surprisingly fast. Heirlooms, Draught of Ten Lands potion, War Mode bonus, and the Darkmoon Faire buff as well. Oh, and the Enlightenment buff that monks get also greatly helped. It went by so smoothly, even with War Mode on the entire time, that I’ve been thinking about leveling another allied race for heritage armor. But I’m probably going to wait for the changes coming later on.

Anyway, I think it was worth it and I really love how it looks. Especially the cute little backpack. The only issue I’ve encountered is that when attacking with a one-handed weapon in the main hand the backpack doesn’t move in place. It stays mid-air and the character just “snaps” back to it. Seems to only happen with auto-attacks.

I love it. I was worried about the backpack and how weapons would work, but they shove the weapons in the bag! It’s neat.

Totally. I really like the set and a lot of the pieces work with other stuff.

You can use heirlooms, potions, etc, you just can’t use a paid for or granted ‘character boost’ like you can’t use your SL pre-order boost or buy one on the store.

You don’t technically have to go from 20-110 now… if you’ve got SL pre-order you can make a Vulpera DK and level it to 110 and get the heritage armor. That’s what I did so i’d have it on my other characters while leveling them.

this only works for “core” races, not allied races.

Idk not a good use of my time I look more unique in this. I should add i don’t have the Vulpera Heritage but i have Nightborne, Void Elf, and Mag’har and i don’t use any.

I got all those heritage sets using heirlooms.

Edit: Omg I didn’t mean to bump this. It showed up in my suggested topics… for some reason??

Reee necromancer reee!

Kidding. (All jokes aside, yes its worth it - just for the chest piece and backpack, if your just leveling for a vulpera for the mog use a monk. Heirloom + daily 1h buff to xp gain by 50% makes up in the long run for not starting at 58)

I’m so embarrassed. I’m a dirty necro :sob:
