Vuhdoh "spells" issues

So…loving vuhduh so far…but having a hell of a time with af ew things.

1: Down ranking spells. I want to have my alt left click do a normal chain heal, and my alt right click do the rank 1…HOWEVER…when I drag the spells to the box, it just puts in chain heal in both no matter what rank i drag. If i try to do some sort of (rank 1) after the spell name, it wont cast at all…is there a trick to this?

Also…control works…alt works…why won’t shift work?
I tried to setup shift to do resurections and targeting stuff, but the entire functionality of 'shift" - spell doesn’t work at all…any idea what’s going on there?

I haven’t actually gone into Vuhdo keybinds other than the stock res on left click when someone is dead. I have just been using mouseover keybinds on all of my skills. Don’t know if this will help, but first thing I would do is go through all the keybind settings and make sure Shift isn’t added into one of the stock functions. Since I had to go through all of them and delete everything I didn’t like.

Standard copy/paste macro I use then put the spell after the brackets and rank if needed. Or shift click the spell out of spellbook.

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player]

You can downrank in vuhdo by typing in the spell like this Chainheal(rank x)

So to confirm, dragging a lower rank into vuhduh doesn’t work…but (rank x) does…I must have failed by what…adding a space after Chain Heal (rank 1) for example? the space killed it? cuz that didn’t work for me.

Also…the ‘stock’ macros? So does vuhduh res a dead person with a left click by default if they’re dead? IE, the left click changes to res? I didn’t know that, if that’s the case I don’t need the res one, but I’d still like to figure out why “shift” functionality doesnt work for spells or target things like that.

Where are the ‘stock’ ones located at? Waht’s odd is, they ahve “radial” buttons for “shift”…so obviously it intends for you to do spells with the shift key…but mine just do nothing

Shift does work in Vuhdo. It works as a modifier for me (just like alt and ctrl), I also use Shift+Alt as a modifier (in retail). no idea why it wouldn’t be working for you, sorry.

As far as down ranking spells goes. I am not sure about what Rasputin said. I went about this by just creating macros that cast the down ranked spell. And then typed in the macro name in the spell slot on Vuhdo, so Vuhdo just uses the macro.
I forget exatly what the macro is, something like:
#showtooltip Healing Wave
/cast Healing Wave(rank 1)

although Im not sure about the spaces.
And then I just type what ever I named that macro into Vuhdo. With this you dont need to put in the mouseover modifier.

as For rezzing. The default for vuhdo is set so that if you click any button while moused over a dead party memeber it will automatically cast rez.

hey you guys know how to get it to stop vuhdo from trying to make 2 macro buttons on login?

Don’t put a space in between the spell name and the (rank1).

Type it in like this;
Renew(Rank1)
Holy Light(Rank4)

As for auto rez look thru the tabs, there is a box you can check and un check that does an auto rez on someone if you click their frame, and are out of combat.
It shouldn’t try to rez them if they are dead or you are in combat.

You can un check the box if you don’t want to auto start rezzing someone dead out of combat.

Yes, remove the space.

Are you certain that you aren’t accidentally adding them to a position where “shift” is listed under another modifier (alt, ctrl) instead of shift on its own?

Otherwise, I don’t know… never had issues with shift. Maybe check to make sure you have the updated version?

This could be the case. Under the modifiers there is a shift option and another one that says +shift. I never use the latter one so I’m not sure what it does but I often use the shift one to bind spells to.

The +shift under a modifier means pressing 2 keys at once to access a spell. You press alt and shift at the same time (or ctrl + shift at the same time).
