Basically i’m wondering if there’s anything i’m doing wrong.
I am a BM (i know it’s not the best) hunter (470) and i do 2s with a healer in arena. I win most of my games, but everytime i face a DK+heal i just can’t do it.
I don’t understand how i can win against them. Not only do they cleave my pet, but they also deal high damage on top of being tanky. How the f am i suppose to win…
Is it me or are DKs just overpowered in arena???

Which healer are you playing with ?
I mostly get druids… which is supposedly great, but the thing is druids don’t help with damage and i just cant kill the DK

Post-nerf DK’s are very vulnerable to BM damage (Small hits) especially with dampening. Play freedom pet and breath of the dying, try to freedom cheetah the big abom go (if you play Hunting Pack it will be up for every big DK go) to alleviate pressure. If you’re feeling really scared go breach even.
Your rdruid should be playing feral affinity to help you with damage. The difference playing with healers who don’t pressure with you and with is HUGE especially since BM damage isn’t amazing alone to start with. Playing with my main rdruid (helps me dps) we can beat the vast majority of DK teams but with a bad healer you’ll just get outdamaged by UH. It’s a healer dependent matchup.
Alternately you can go SV and kill the druid or even as BM if druid is super aggro

I think that @kiteflyer is spot on, it’s mostly a healer matchup. Rdruids clearly aren’t bad against them (Priests are harder for instance). You probably won’t win a dps race for obvious reasons but your role should be to alleviate pressure on you/your healer as much as possible (Freedom/cheetah is good, you have knock/binding shot depending on the healer/map, not sure if the 10% dmg reduc has a good uptime on a druid but if you notice that your druid struggle to escape good dks it might be an option etc.).
I sometimes like to kill their pet simultaneously, and set up a reaping flames/bike combo to create a lot of pressure, but don’t spend too much time on that if it doesn’t work :d
Surv/rdru wrecks dk in 2s because they have very potent cc for the DK which frees up the Druid to push in and use cat form on the opposing healer
So if you’re playing BM, I can’t speak to that the same, but many of the hunter tools are similar, so if you’re running with a Druid heals it might be a better option to train their healer instead
At what rating roughy do you play at? Thankfully I beat most DK teams, much to my surprise actually haha, but I understand they can be wicked hard and annoying.
Hopefully someone chimes in with more xp with BM because if I’m being honest, every BM hunter I face seems to always be on mugabsjdmdkd map and runs allllll game doing nothing until I kill them. They’re always so defensive and they just die.
How do you tend to play?

I’m not the best hunter around, but I’ve played BM for over 15 years and I’ve ground out glad every season of BFA with BM.
I probably beat DK teams about 60 to 70% of games currently (unless it’s R1 guys like Petkick).
Resto druid is definitely your best healing option. If they don’t do damage or cc though then they are doing it wrong.
Versus dk, DH, rogue, and war I run binding shot a lot. When I stun / trap healer, I also bind the dps. It lets me unload a lot of damage but also allows my healer to get into position to clone after traps without getting kicked by the dps.
Against DK and DH, I also run Widows venom which is used when the healer is cc’d. It acts like sharpen blade from a warrior and is a stacking mortal strike on top of your normal MS and it helps to dramatically decrease their self heals.
Probably THE most important thing in 2s as BM is positioning. Spacing between you and your healer wins or loses games. You want to be in line so your healer can heal you, but far enough away so that if the melee dps tries to swap or kick your healer, you make them pay the price by taking a ton of damage while doing very little damage while chasing.
Concussion shot is one of your most important abilities. It should be slowing the DK basically the entire game. Use z axis maps to line and confuse his pets.
Your healer can also alternate clone on the other healer and the DK a lot to help you kite and maintain pressure. Cloning the kill target during their dps cooldowns or when they are low and your trap is on cooldown for the healer can also win games.
