VPN for WOW?

I live in asia and I used to use PIA but was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a good VPN that I can leave up while warcraft is going.

I apologize wasn’t sure which forum to post so I just thought I would post it here.

Would be nice to get some opinion as sometimes my provider’s routing is horrible and going to a VPN can help it out a bit.

Thanks a ahead of time!

I have a permanent connection via PIA on my VPN router and have been very happy with the service. Have you been having trouble that you’re looking to switch?

Sometimes I have to DC from PIA to actually get decent pings. I guess generally it’s OK Just was wondering if there was something better.

BTW for doing the VPN to your router, how do I do that without mucking up my skycable settings or is it configured separately ?

I have two separate routers/networks in the house (actually 3, but I don’t use the WIFI network from the FIOS router). The VPN router has WAN connection to the primary router’s DHCP server so it can have both sets of IP addresses and be able to route traffic correctly. So I have:

Network-Main: 192.168.1.*
Network-VPN: 192.168.2.*/LAN; 192.168.1.x/WAN

Then when we want to use the VPN we just connect to that network from whatever device we’re using. It was a little complicated to setup but it works really well and you don’t have to run any VPN software, you just change WIFI network.

Alright will research it thanks.

Just have to be careful because our provider is horrible and if i mess something up it might be weeks before they could even respond lol…

Yeah, if you get a second router for the VPN you can just connect to the DHCP server like any other device in the home - so no risk to the current setup. If there are several people and many devices it might be worth it.

BTW did you try different locations for PIA or did you always route through the same place?

I used the lower ping ones Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
