Vote kicked for not having 5k gearscore for dungeons

Why am I getting a 30-minute debuff for not having 5k gearscore for dungeons? Blizzard has created an elitist queing system. This is unfair to the player base and needs to be addressed.

(1) I don’t have 3k gearscore
(2) What makes a player good or bad isn’t based on a gearscore
(3) People like you ruin the game for everyone that is trying to play the game

It is not about gearscore and players vote-kicking, reason does not matter.
It is about a system which gives you debuff when vote-kicked instead only when someone leaves the instance by its own action.

Blizz changed it from how it was in Wrath. You didn’t get the debuff if you were vote kicked.

Yes I did because that is what just happened. I queued for a dungeon and after I entered they wouldnt do the dungeon. They just waited until they could kick me and then I had the debuff.

because otherwise tanks and healers would hold groups hostage cause they got a dungeon they didn’t want and then just instantly requeue and do the same thing

No, the players did that. Should be a bannable if you kick someone that meets the requirements and solely for that reason.

Which isn’t how it was in original Wrath. If you were kicked you didn’t get the debuff.

Been like this since OG Wrath.

Time is a flat circle

ya it was changed for a reason and it still works that way for a reason

asking for the worse version is such a ridiculous take.

stop pretending you care about no changes

It’s worse now. It empowers trolls and gatekeepers.

don’t try to be carried? or expect some push back if you do?

system working as intended

If you dont want to carry then dont go in the dungeon finder and just go play with guildies.

Thank you for proving my point.

If you can queue you obviously meet the requirements. So kicking someone for their gearscore is toxic gatekeeping and quite frankly should be punishable.

In original Wrath there was a 15 minute grace period before someone could even be kicked. So there was zero point wasting time or holding the group hostage. People just did the dungeons. And Heroics were faceroll for even fresh 80s.

no, you cheesed the requirements by using pvp gear or w/e

ppl have a right to vote kick for that

Wtf happened to the WoW playerbase…. :man_facepalming:

It’s a freaking video game. Apparently your entire ego and self worth is caught up in it, but some people just want to have fun. And treat it as such. It’s not a job. It’s not taken that seriously.

The playerbase has forgotten it’s just a game and say these ridiculous types of things. I expect that in Retail, but Wrath was the expansion of accessibility. And Blizz decided to add Mythic dungeons and bring this toxicity here as well.

It is not about being carried or not.
System allows anyone with 210ilvl to queue for gamma dungeons whether it is too low is debatable.
Player press RFD button because system allows it, player didnt bribe anyone to get accepted or cheat the system.

I also dont get that aversion to carry another player. People who dont like to carry forget that one day they might be in position to be carried and that carried person might return the favor one day.

Haven’t had people kicked for that yet in Gammas. I even had a sub 4k GS tank once and nobody tried to kick him. I’m not sure what ilvl = GS but I was kind of surprised it even let him in given what most other people’s gear is like.

I got to 232ish ilvl by doing IoC weekend on my Druid (half of it sub 80 doing BGs to level + cap honor in the 70s), but I don’t except everyone to want to do dozens of BGs before doing PvE.

I wouldn’t kick someone for gear unless we just got to a point where it was impossible to do with them in the group. Presumably they’re possible to do with an entire group full of people that are just at the ilvl requirement. You’d just have to go slower and be more careful. :man_shrugging:

I agree with this, but the key word here is “was”. Times change, players change, world change. These days this “efficiency at all costs” changed people and made them obssessed with higher numbers. Even in retail, I didnt see this level of numbers obsession, logs and parses, like I see in classic.

When content reaches a certain level of difficulty, players protect themselves by excluding other players.

When the content in question is intended to be run multiple times a day…

…hilarious that Classic devs took Wrath and made key parts of it high-friction like Cataclysm. Hilarious.
